I thought it was a good price that's why I thought I might be mistaken.

I am in need of a front wheel bearing and prices seem to vary wildly and I am dubious about fitting a manufacturer I have never heard of.
After some research I think FAG or SNR seem to be the way...
Hi guys interesting thread. Do you have any updates on your set ups yet?
I have a droopy or broken front spring and will need to sort it in the very near future.
Cheers dob
Hi today I fitted my poly top mount and bulkhead mount bushes, also fitted my sub frame bush inserts and what a difference it has made to the handling.
I also had a unsuccessful attempt at fitting...
oops I seem to have put this in the wrong place sorry. could a mod please move it to my R project thread
SORRY

to be honest apart from the wishbone bushes there is nothing wrong with it now. its a good all rounder now but I will always want to do something more to the old girl lol
I have the ECU in my hand now.
There is no sticker or nothing written on the outside of the unit.
If I take the cover off will I be able to tell if someone has "modified" it???
Cheers Dob
Looks good in the vent mate.
Did you blank off the duct behind the vent or does it still blow air past the gauge?
Dob
what is it mate? do you have a pod?
where was it mounted?
Don't suppose you have a pic?
Cheers Dob
Hi guys sorry if this has been covered before but I couldn't really find any positive answers
I am toying with the idea of getting and fitting a boost gauge but I know very little about them.
...
There is a fine line between what needs done and what I want to do.
If we are not careful it easily can become a money pit addiction lol
I will pull it out sometime and have a look.
Cheers
Boost gauge and pod
It is a manual front wheel drive with broken ECU box clips
Would this mean they reprogram the ecu rather than solder a new chip in?
I just nipped out for a wee look I cant see anything obvious on the ecu. no stickers that I can see.
Someone has definitely been in the ECU box but is there any way I can tell if its RICA or just someone with a laptop and some software?
Thanks mate.
I am led to believe the car has a RICA 310 chip but not 100% but it is a lot quicker than my 855R was!
Apart from that totally standard.
If anyone is interested in my little R project I am going to make this thread as a reminder to what I have done and to get a little input from you guys.
I have owned the R for a few months now and I...
NICE
Shiny and FAT
I LIKE it :funkybana
I have just had this on my c70 about 3k revs on full boost.
New volvo plugs fitted today and the problem is gone.
I recomend to try new volvo plugs first cheap(ish) and simple to try.
dob
hi did you get to the bottom of this fault?
my c70 started this exact same problem today but worked again on way home.
dob
hi can someone please tell me what thread and length the studs are on my '96 855R i need to get a set of locking studs for it and there seems to be some different threads and lengths.
Also is there...
i would love to do something like this in my 855 but my bullmastiff needs all the space :parhmph:
do i need to remove the old crossovers? if so where are they?
