Can you add a dizzy to an Me7 head?
I guess you will have to blank the VVT as well....
Difficult swap, I have tried it the other way round and the problems come with the two different sets of electronics between the main car and engine! I suspect you would struggle to set the...
Have you sorted this yet? where are you?
Effectively he needs to make sure the letter/s after the td04 match.....
I found this out when I tried to do the same as you! I think the later phase two LPT use td04-L & the one we need is...
sounds like the recuirculation valve if you have no audible boost leaks
alarm relay & immobilizer are not linked....
alarm relay will stop the starter engaging
Immobilizer sends a pulsed signal to the ecu to wake.... not entirely sure how it allows the car to fire...
Does that switch between the various functions/ecu's?
i made my own but hard wired it!

Off the top of my head you will need
engine
ecu
loom & probably fusebox
turbo & pipework
intercooler
intake system
maf maybe the same?
exhaust system (probably complete)
I think you can use VOL-FCR on some of the associated components but not the engine ecu.... so you should be able to pull codes from the abs srs powerseats but not the motronic 4.3 ecu system....
...
You will need quite a few bits, more than just the engine loom & ecu!
With a complete donor car you should be fine but it will be a lot of work & might be worth avoiding a donor of a different...
Timing might need adjusted! We bought one off ebay that someone had fitted a manual glow plug system to solve exactly the issue you describe.... i adjusted the timing and removed all the additional...
I think what pete said... the smaller older engine is the better one afaik
I think they use fenix 5.1 engine management which isn't as user friendly!
There is a guy on one of the forums who...
If that is mapped then you have boost issues!
If it is a standard ecu it looks like it is over boosting slightly... think the end of the white section is 15 psi so looks like it is boosting to around 14psi & then the ecu is knocking it back to...
I am quite impressed with that silicon bodge! its about the only one I haven't found on my current car!
I had to have a chuckle knowing how little the parts actually cost to do it properly!
19T maybe slightly more available than 18T
I thought 10 psi was standard boost or there about....
your actuator is probably a little tight if it is over boosting & then settling down to where it should be...
Its the problem with diagnosis over the internet!
most of us would have taken one look at the car & new straight away but on the net you just have to assume everything is in its correct place.....
I agree, I am currently considering transplanting my old one into a newer one... maybe even a phase 2
that would upset rob in the local volvo parts department! he isn't keen on interchanging...
ME7 engines are not keen on that sort of thing! mbc's atmospheric dumps & decats & its dummy spitting time!
no, it means your waste gate is fine
it means for some reason the ecu is limiting boost & sending all the turbos pressure directly to the waste gate rather than bleeding some off!
I am not too...
I was interested in the symptoms being very similar to the immobiliser for future issues so unplugged the throttle position sensor on my car & it started ran & brought on the EML so suspect it is...
What I don't think has been mentioned is being an Me7 car you should have a MAP sensor....
If that is faulty & giving the ecu the wrong reading ie the 4psi you are getting is reading 10psi then...
Unless you are using excessive oil I would keep the turbo you have!
It may be you have a code hidden & the ecu is not allowing the turbo to boost to the proper level...
for instance my car...
