Thats what I needed to know, thanks.
It already has the turning circle of a barge lol (compared to our lass's Honda Jazz anyway..)
Thought so, the 205 55 16 would rub on the arches IIRC? Skinny tyres are better for snow though, we're supposed to have the mother of all winters coming up lol (better get my shorts and sunglasses...
I'm after some tyres for my T5, and am wondering what size I can use (apart from the obvious normal size). Wondering if I can get away with 55's or would they rub? Also would 195 be ok? Just...
Tbh I don't know, it'd mean taking the pipe off to measure it which will pour coolant everywhere. Was wondering if fixing a pipe internally to extend it would work - would also strengthen where I've...
Thanks Davey, gives me a bit of confidence. I'm not too bad with spanners and my dad is a retired engineer who learned to strip his Ford Anglia engine by doing it so he can help lol
I've got jacks,...
Well not so much blew off rather broke off! Managed to nurture it off the road and turn the engine off as the needle was rapidly rising. Opened the bonnet and saw the pipe had come off - trouble is...
That's what's happened. Corrosion has gone too far to save them though. Seals were buggered. Going to have to get some more and fit them. PITA..
Cheers, I'll check that in the morning along with the bulb holders to see of they are corroded (got a message off the original owner to say it might also be that).
I'll report back when I've...
Hi all, just noticed tonight that both the rear numberplate lights aren't working, and it goes in for it's mot tomorrow!. It's too dark to go and muck about now so will be having a quick look...
Might be worth a visit in the new year, needs a service anyway.
Had a BMW E30 that groaned like mad, low fluid was the cause (and it was a mucky grey colour so knackered). Topping it up cured the sound.
he V70 groans a bit sometimes when parking up, fluid looks...
Not surprised they're getting good prices tbh. Great family cars that are pretty bombproof and reliable. Oh and they go like sht off a shvel ;)
Had mine down to 35 miles till empty the other day - didn't like it very much. Good job I was driving towards the petrol station at the time.
What, like 'aircon needs regassing' in other words it's bust lol
Turn the little screw on the light switch a quarter turn, that might do it as in Sweden the law says you must have lights on all the time.
Only the boot lid won't fit lol
How about another tubby then you have one for each cylinder :B_thumb:
Interesting vid, must have crap caps on them bottles as he must have tightened it a half dozen times lol.
How do you go about drying your system? Do you drain it and leave it for a while or what?
If one is an ME7 then no (ME7 = electronic throttle)
Looks good, the dials above add to the retro feel.
My bad if that's the case, '97 was changeover year from 850 to V70 :B_thumb:
I know someone who might like it....

Yep, as above. You want a Motronic 4.4
I found that with my old E36, also the chassis underneath had inserts on the jacking points so it wasn't metal on metal.
Think I only used the Volvo jack once as it lifts the whole side of the car...
