Ideal, have you encountered any problems? I'm hoping this cures my "not going into gear when engine running" issue. Only time will tell!
Il let you know if it worked in a few weeks!
Hi Guys, just for an update for you all, I had a friend make up an adaptor on a lathe. It needed to be 35mm long, outside diameter of 15mm, and a bore of 12mm that runs at least 25mm into the shaft....
Hi Oblark
Yes that was the plan, the gearbox shaft doesn't reach the bearing though and theyre different diameters also
Anyone? :-(
I'm not sure how well they work on coil-on-plug vehicles. I have one on my t5 engine, its not a Bee R but you can save yourself money by getting an armtech or any rev limiter with launch control...
Already have sold everything I don't need! I don't have the space either!
The project has paid for itself so far just from selling unneeded parts :-)
That's the one!! Il direct you to my build thread
I put it on the norortors website as was a little more specific.

Hello,
I have a whoteblock with a KLRacing adaptor with a Getrag 265/5 GB from the 535i, a more and more common combo being seen these days. I've had it working, but my problem is when the engine...
Are you sticking it in the back of the car or front? If in the front you will need an appropriate gearbox and adaptor.
A lot of time, and be prepared to spend out on quite a few things (prop shaft,...
I find this quite interesting, using this engine in a rwd setup in kit cars or engine swaps, the distributor gets in the way of the bulk head..
I don't see many other advantages though......
Incredible. Thanks chaps!
Sorry that's not clear.
Basicly where does each end go?
Cheers. :-)
Hi everyone.
Im trying to plumb in my idle air control valve, however I don't have the pipes that connect it to the engine. And as I've done some customising and fabrication its even more...
If its a td04hl then get someone to rebuild it using your old turbo and make a hybrid. That's what I did. You will need the super back rebuild kit as the 19t compressor wheels are generally not flat...
I have a 19t comp housing and super back wheel upgrade, I'm also have their adjustable wastegate. However it hasn't been tested yet. Hopefully in a month or so I will know!
Best practice is to balance your turbo, mainly as it spins at 100,000,rpm....
however lots of people successfully run rebuilt turbos which have not been balanced. Depends whether you fancy taking...
Cheers mate, I'll get some measuring done!!
Does anyone know what flange is used between the exhaust manifold and the TD04? T3/T4??
Thanks
