Ive had Flaken FK452's in the past.. cheap, grippy and they seem to get good reviews..
Most pads squeal a little when new they probably just need a little while to bed-in?

yeah.. bit odd! thats probably the forth or fifth dodgy v50 i have seen on pitonheads.. if it sounds too good to be true and all that!

i seem to remember that uprated anti roll bars got good feedback.. think ultra racing linked to above and whiteline both do one for our cars.

i brought some mintex pads and disks for my v40 off ebay getting on for a year ago now i suppose.. for the money i think they are great..
I read a few posts saying people had trouble with them...
have you read up on the choking and clogging problems the 1.8i gdi mitsubishi engines can have? if any of the above arguments don't put you off the idea a quick read up on that should do the trick!

i have a 97 v40 and it doesn't have a spot of rust anywhere! which i find quite impressive compared to newer cars i have had in the past which have had real problems.. must just be luck i suppose..

phase 2 bumpers are shorter on the sides iirc.. have seen a phase two bumper put on a phase one but i think they cut and extended the bumper to make the wheel arch work... much work and bodging...

not sure what age you are looking at but if it's phase 1 or 2 one of the bigger issues i am aware of is that they were built in partnership with mitsubishi so some of them have mitsubishi GDI...

Yes, to get at the window mechanism where the glass is attatched you do have to take the door card off. not too compicated though. if you go down the route of getting a new seal i'm not sure....
