Exactly what I had in mind! I shall persue Brother Rufe on the matter. Thanks for that. :)

Anyone know if the oils for the rear diff and angle box on the transmission are something weird, or are they the same spec as the gearbox oil? (M66 Manual in my case.)
2005 with 51k on t'clock.
I'll get a photo or two up at the weekend.
It's a black V70R that was for sale north of the border. I was asking about what stuff to check out on here last week.
Well, I've done the deed, the Scottish V70R with the orange interior is now mine and parked up in Lancashire, currently trying to swap it's kilt for a flat cap.
Thanks for all the warnings / info...
Is Atacama the Dale Winton coloured interior? If so, I have Atacama floor mats; which won't last 5 mins given some of the places I end up with work. Set of black HD ones sounds a much better idea. ...
Well I'm NOT doing the Top Gear forensics thing with it after all this history. If it's been used to sell drugs, get dead bodies across borders, conceive illegitimate children or transport tinpot...
Committed now. Picking the McV70R up on Saturday. I'll let you all know if it makes it back to Lancashire in one piece! I won't be doing anything exciting with it till I've changed all the fluids...
GLUP !
Mine's black and of the Scottish persuasion. LeeT5, if this is a wind-up, then that got me hook, line, sinker and copy of the Angling Times. If not, I think I need a PM of someone!
...
Thanks again for all the pointers. Didn't intend to launch a R vs T5 argument there BTW! Well, been to see the car yesterday, taken it out for a test drive and as there was absolutely nothing wrong...
Thanks for the pointers. Why a V70R and not a T5? Basically because my last R was the best road car I've ever had by some margin. The 4WD really helps with some of the places I have to get to in...
After a long time away from here, I'm back and in need of some advice. I'm going to look at a '05 plate V70R next week, and possibly returning to the Volvo fold.
Can anyone tell me what to look...
SPOOK !
So was I. Saw this from a view point 180 degrees away from the camera. We could see it was going into the end of the wall, mass holding of breath till a shaken Mr Burt was extracted. As...
Black Mesh IMHO. Biased as I have one, only problems are :-
a) Horns look obvious and silly behind it (must move them if I get my car back on the road)
b) After a while they become black with...
Any landing you walk away from is a good landing!
Right, now I've actually made it home and found the Haynes, it turns out I was talking Bo**ocks. It does not cover the P2s. Sorry chaps. Pretty sure the front fog lamp wiring will be there in the...
Got the Haynes manual, but it's one of the newer ones with spanners all over it, so not that good. The wiring diagram is ok, but a bit cartoon like. What circuits do you need to know about?
It could also be part of the short torque bar under the engine, going from the gearbox to the subframe. Think we need some more clues here!
> with the turbo out of Apollo 13
Hmmm. Now if he'd said "Turbo out of an Apollo spacecraft" then you'd know it was a compliment. It's the 13 bit that's worrying. Sort of implies there was a...
I had a 760 Turbo Estate before I got my first T5. I really liked it at the time, huge cargo bay, towed anything and pretty fast. It was 2.3 Litre, had 4 cylinders and 8 valves BTW. I eventually...
About the same As Wobbly. Best I've done is 365 most of that whilst tired, bored and driving back from Loch Long in the rain.
P1 V70 Manual though, not strictly an 850.

Driving into a ditch - Bad Driving
Simple really.
> the cone filter wont be doing you any favours
Except it makes access to some of the engine bits a lot easier! ;)
Yup, Brother Tomcat speakum wise words.
Had exactly the same symptoms on a company car (Vauxhall) years ago. Turned out to be the earth strap for the alternator.
STOP IT!
I'm not listening. La, la, la, la, la, la-la-la.
Damn, I can still see your torque curve.
