As others have said, go over all the vac lines, and connections. Get the whole kit for ~£20, strip them all off one at a time and refit. Especially the PCV connection behind the PAS pump as in the...

I would +1 this. Not very strong at all. They arent so bad when installed in a small car and not subject to working too hard.
DMF will begin rattling and have to be changed at some point, the intercooler will burst somewhere in the 80-100k region, and the front engine mount (the one that is pressurized by boost) will also...
Cat melted and blocking exhaust?
The exterior and interior may well be very nice, but if they dont drive as good as they look, there will still be a problem. Given the S40/V50 was a Focus in drag why did they not handle as they...
Ok guys, the stock reflectors are tired on the S70...
plan a) OEM C70 crystal clear lamps and matching indicator units.
plan b) aftermarket projectors + indicators.
I need the electric...
Thanks guys, and for the link.
I am looking at 2005/2006 age of cars, preferably g*ytronics with less than 100k on them.
I should have added a ' ;-) ' .
50mpg from a semi-performance luxo-barge is exactly why I am (still) on the hunt for an s60 d5....
Even though the computer may be abit optimistic, 50mpg+ is just ridiculous!!!!
Erm, for the boost gauge and heater recirc control flap..?
Anyone got anything to say good or bad about these people??
Got an 05 S60 D5 geartronic there I am tempted to go look at...
TIA Tim.
You *will* need the MAF as without it the ecu cannot calculate load and will shut off the boost to virtually nothing.
Of course as the car now weighs less than f*ck all, it'll only need 150hp to...
The only thing I can suggest is in the first instance you whip the ECU out, and have a word with BBA-reman to see if they will test / repair it.
Can you tell us the year of the V70, as I am...
I would be looking for a leak also, as we know intercoolers on these love to leak, as do the intake pipes.
A run with a scan tool connected and showing live data would be the next job, looking...
Are you sure it is the valve stem seals?
Personnally I have never known a white block to need replacement seals, even at very high mileages...
I would be looking more towards a blocked PCV or...
Burst hose or intercooler, or split recirc diaphragm i would say.
That big turbo is going to be pumping alot of volume, little exhaust restriction and at 17psi thats alot of air. Lovely big i/c too. :) I am surprised that the stock cam allowed it to hold peak...
Tends not to be the outright hp that kills the autoboxes, (assuming regualarly changed fluid, and uprated cooler) but the torque in the lower range, and your driving style.
Asking the box to...
Interesting to see! Was the 'before' figure with a totally stock T5 ???
With a large comp housing, and T28 cut back wheel perhaps, certainly not a stock one.
T25 way too small for more than about 230hp.
As Rnash said, its not the level of boost, but where it it is produced in the rev range- it's the torque that bends the rods.
This is the 'electronic' plastic key yes???
It sounds like a trip to the dealer, sorry!
I reckon the boffins at Mr Ford had a little meeting and said, "okay, we'll give Volvo the Focus floorpan and suspension setup, but we want you to sabotage it, so it cannot possibly handle as well as...
Full marks for the colour co-ordination.
Perhaps so, but the best course of action is a broom handle, or one of the kits that are coming on the market to permanantly delete it.
