Yeah a diagnostic will be a better bet, trying to get info from just a display code is not the best.
Page 119 is the diagram you want, "Shift Lock" :)
The power for the shift lock comes from the Gearbox Module which is powered by Fuse 21 in the CEM bank
But check the brake switch wiring...
Ah, now we're getting somewhere.
Ok so now check both pins of F9 for voltage (the fuses should have a gap in the top for each pin to be tested with the fuse in situ). If neither pin has voltage...
There are some threads on people bypassing the solenoid on Volvoclub forums.
My S60 only has one foglight and a blank plate in the other side. Another Ford money pinching measure.
Oh no, gutted that it isn't sorted yet :(
Have you checked that the brake switch has deffo got voltage and is working when pressed/released? Worth checking if you haven't just to rule things out!...
Here you go bud, 2005 V70 wiring diagrams, check out Page 19 for fuses (fuse number 9 in the CEM fuse box, also shows location) and page 67 for the brake lights wiring diagram...
Interesting one, it's not an import is it?
Should be fuse number 12 in the engine bay according to the wiring diagram
Have you checked if there is voltage at the brake switch?
Also did you manually operate the switch (not attached to the brake pedal)? Could be the switch is not adjusted right?
Also this may...
Oooh exciting!
Can't wait to see what you've done!
I had EBC yellowstuff pads on before and they were great, took just a little warming up but fine for normal on road use.
As for pads it's probably best to get the current ones out and take a...

says for Mini but think they're just generic
Oh no Dave. hopefully it's not caused any damage!
Yeah I'd guess open ended is just wires as you can get some harnesses that are pre terminated for specific vehicle plugs/sockets.
The lights and other functions will be controlled by the CEM and...
I was thinking the same Dave, some kind of aftermarket ECU as mine just cannot cope with the all the changes, especially the injectors, just cannot get it to fuel right.
B just looks a deeper version of A (only rotated)
My AWD handbrake is shocking to say the least, and always has been unfortunately. I renewed everything cables, shoes, fitting kit and it was still pretty bad.
Mine failed on the handbrake. When I took it apart I realised they never fitted adjusters like on the older Volvos, they just fit solid bars.
So I just stole them from my spares Volvo 850 and...
Yes definitely. The D5 diesel is a very solid engine that will do hundreds of thousands of miles as long as you look after it.
What year are you looking at?
Sorry, I mean "sticky backed plastic" no brand names here :P
Yeah just for mocking it up instead of tack welding it :D you can see it in the 3rd and 4th pics ;)
I was quite impressed with it myself, I even made that support bracket, looks exactly like the original (just a bit longer).
The other side of the flange doesn't look the best unfortunately, hard...
Wow, can't believe it's been over 2 years since the last update on this thread.
Unfortunately not a lot has been done to it. I still need to remove the entire rear suspension and fuel tank to...
Nice info!
Ouch! That's a lot of money for each bolt!
