Thanks ST. Yes we're all fine. Hope you and Nursey, Nursey have a good time on North Island And, of course, welcome over here again!!
As an aside, I'm enjoying the S type Jag which replaced the...
[QUOTE=v70torslanda;300934]A cautionary tale. . .
The problem is bulbs get hot. (OK that's not news to anyone, especially Volvo owners) But in the case of licence plate bulbs they're cooped up...
Insurance paid out a fair price with no quibbles. He's now bought his brother's BMW 320i cabrio. with the money. Big bonus was that insurance company courtesy car was a brand new Porche Carrera...
Thanks for the offer Wobbly. In the light of my last post, he'll need to keep things as simple as possible! Offer much appreciated!
I think he's leaving it with insurers. He doesn't have technical expertise/conacts/money to gamble on possible restoration. Apart from crumpled rear wing and door, he suspects chassis might be out of...
He's fine. Thanks for concern. He was static at the time. Insurance sorted OK. He'd been drooling over the C70 from when I bought it. Aren't many about to replace it (low mileage, all sorted etc)....
Some will remember I bought S Type Jag. and my son took my C70T5GT up to Norwich. Nasty lorry up there ran into him. Car's a write-off. He's gutted so is looking for a good replacement. Anyone...
I suppose they're "dicks" etc until you need one of them. It takes all sorts to make the world go round, as this thread is proving!!
I too have 225 40 18s. No rubbing.
Is it worth trying gease first?
I have 1998 C70T5GT. Really enjoy the performance and comfort, although I'm currently wondering about going for a Jag! ( Last of XJ6s or XJR.)
Can't see it mentioned so far but, as well as the...
Just arrived at Tescos on Isle of Wight too.
That'll save having to call at Shell garage, and spending a fortune on a full tank, before I catch the ferry home. Will also be useful for all the T5...
So, to summarise, if I change my C70 T5 for an S60, I would look for the S60T5!!?? Would I regret getting rid of a perfectly running C70?
Looks really nice ST.
Will its exhaust reverberate round Tesco' car park?! Last car could be heard long before it was seen!!!! LOL
Once had similar. Son drove my C70 much more aggressively than I do!
Same light came on. Eventually cleared itself. No adverse running noted during or after!
Success! Thanks again for advice. Been jammed now for several months. Question on here, almost instant response, carrier now clear!
Thaks for suggestion. No copied discs. Will try tomorrow. PM me a price Enigma please!
Any advice please. My 3 disc cassette (1998 C70) is stuck in the unit. Can't shift it.
Read on here somewhere about removing the radio, take the top off and release discs. Thought I'd be brave...
Congratulations to all. As previously said, a potential can of worms bearing in mind previous similar discussions! No side-taking/side swiping, just a lot of helpful advice which is useful to me...
Continental Contisport 3 225 40 18. Seem good but don't drive to "the limits"!! Low level road noise.
Nothing ambiguous in that statement Russ!!
How tactful!! LOL
Thought I understood most things written in English. This thead is like something from a parallel universe. Deliberate wind up to see who's prepared to respond!!?? Obviously I took the bait too....
Why replace comfortable, appropriate looking seats with something which may look chavvy and unlikely to be as comfortable. Maybe my age is showing!!!!! LOL
