Out of interest did my V70 P2 a month ago using Volvo kit. The wiring loom comes with connectors and gromets plugs straight into the connector located at the back of the spare wheel compartment....

Ya I agree - my thinking was going that way, was considering dropping the subframe onto trolley wheels and raising the car using engine hoist on the front cross member - used to this type of thing...

Thats just put me off - last engine I had out was on me 325 E30 no mess 12hrs on me tod - h*ll - this looks like a project!

thanks - toying with ideas - I know brakes are uprated and obiously the engine and turbo but what other differences with the GLT 20V 96 and T5 or R or is this a dumb question?

Haynes suggests the engine comes out from the bottom, having no pit or ramp has anyone been successful taking it out and refitting it through the top

Agree with your thoughts T5ER, if it's the rear main then the oil is just the one end

I'm havin the same prob with my 850 - decided to keep it as a spare - not sure whether you get that much judging by the lack of interest in the run of the mill parts on ebay.

I think I better set a day aside and order a few parts. I havn't been through my P1 as far as you have, but found every thing seriously better with new control arms and sway bar...

T-5ones - sorry should have mentioned that - yes did the large one and the two at each end of the end of the cross member.

Update, found movement in the bushes of the bottom wish bone, I think this accounts for the self steering. Anyone know whether I can change just the bushes? (P2)
