Nice one ben, 90k is low for an ex plod as well. I have the same car, first thing i did was change the wheels to 17's, the 16 standards plods have on are Fugly don't you think!

What Stu said, although having your car chipped for fuel economy seems like the wrong reason, bring on those extra horses!
Cheers robb, i have used the rubber backed police spec pads on my p1's, and rate them highly. Thanks for the info, i'll get shopping!
Daz
Cheers for the replies chaps, thought that may be the case with the lights!
Anybody?
Hi all
Had a few S/V70 P1's & 850 T5's, but this is my first P2 & i have a few questions. What plugs & oil do they like? Always used NGK BKR7EVX on my P1's and semi syth 10w40 oil on higher milage...
Well, bought my first P2 V70 T5 today, ex plod 51 plate with 133k, needs a little bit of TLC but all the big stuff been done, but she drives mint, looks like a police station on my drive now LOL!
Yep, thats right on the V70, anyone know how to turn em off on a 1998 V40?
Forgot to say, there's another one on Sept 15, should be open pit lane again, if you're there i'll meet ya!
Hey Yoz, i was there raggin a Caterham superlight round, then a few laps in my S70. Was you in a Ice blue S40? You made me and my mate smile while we were in the pits cooling down, making the Volvo...
Couldn't agree more, when i had my 850R few years ago, they did me a full service printout and read fault codes, & reset service light for nowt! Mind you, our youth bought a brand new V70P2 T5 the...
Used to use Speeds Mansfield for Parts, but not been since it changed to Stratstone, i tend to buy from Marshalls now:)
Interesting thread this, car valeting & product development has come a long way since i used to do it for a living a few moons ago! Having said that, there are much cheaper ways to achieve results...
Fraser, she looks a cracker. I've only ever seen 1 other T5 in Frost Green (John on here), yours make 2!
You got a point mate, travelled miles to get her as well, and Saffron is my favourite colour, but she wasn't that nice when i got her. But someone made me an offer i couldn't refuse! Maybe i'll paint...
LOL at Mike, you're not wrong, she's was a real minter, credit to you, i've not seen one as nice (and i've seen a few!) She's now even better. Not for sale at the moment mate, but you'll have first...
He, He, there have been more, but not got any pics! it all started with my first one, an S70 T5 CD R plate in silver, only a few years old when i got it, she was like new, fetched her from...
Dead right Mrs M, looks loads better in the flesh. I've had 2 since my white one came back 'off loan!', best example of an S70 ex plod i've ever come across.
Nowt wrong with OCD Dave, i like to...
I've had this on one of mine before, but as mentioned above, used to go off when doors were slammed. Try Salvo for a door lock mechanism:)
yeah, i though the 1st was cool as well, seing as they were done with a bog standard digi cam and i'm no David Bailey!
I polished them with Carnuba Diamond wax that i used to use on executive...
Here's a few pics of my S70's taken today
I've used Cellulose wheel silver on a few of mine in the past and does the trick, just make sure you key them up a bit first with some 400 wet & dry:)
PMSL!
As long as ur ok mate, at the end of the day, we love our Volvo's but it's just a piece of tin:)
