Looks cracking, +1 on price?
Welcome mate,
Worth giving the cambelt a go if you are not bad mechanically. I did mine, easy enough but dont forget to get a strong pin to hold the tensioner piston in place for reassembly as i...
Looks great, I'l be keeping an eye on this!
If this was the case would i see the boost gauge slowly descending with my throttle at 100%. Would it not hit a set limit (17psi i believe for the RICA) and stick to it?
I understand that tuned...
Was asked to try this above. I have blocked it off previously with no effect
Unfortunately that didn't work, boost just pushed open the bov. It Definately makes it worse if I stamp in the pedal rather then build boost slowly
Thanks guys, i will go and test this now (off ooout). Unsure if its twin or single as i cant find anything definitive, found a picture of the same BOV:

Unfortunately cant see the model...
Thanks James, still trying to find a garage that will smoke test it for me. I would ask for the contact number for yours but wales is a bit out the way for me ;)
Thanks Claymore, Its a bailey...
Have spent the day testing on country roads and motorways. Boost goes down rapidly in second gear and bottoms at 10 psi, third is a bit hit and miss. It sometimes holds at 16-18 psi but when i stamp...
Does anybody have any contact numbers for a garage that will do smoke testing? Im in Surrey
Thanks,
Will,
Thanks very much for your replies Mitchey and T5G
Im worried that the boost isn't building quickly enough and feel that it must be leaking due to not holding in second. I will try and phone some...
Ive now upgraded the turbo to a 16t and beaded the pipe that comes from the turbo outlet. In 3rd, 4th and 5th I'm now seeing 20 psi at peak and it holds at 18 psi afterward. Second gear also holds...
An obscure one, does anyone know the recommended torque for the master brake cylinder pressure sensor. Will be replacing mine this weekend due to it leaking and would just like to be sure
Thanks...
It was changed less than 5,000 miles ago, i also have an oil leak that has no source. Ive replaced the PCV, turbo return pipe gasket and o-ring and the drain plug but it remains. I thought it was RMS...
Thanks MRP, ive wound it back now. It was overboosting after found the oil. This is a picture of the oil buildup, only been a month since clean:

Im wondering if they are related, should i...
Hi Guys,
I finally got hold of a replacement actuator and the problem still remains. If i adjust the wastegate it will boost to 19 psi, is this normal? Surely the ECU overwrites the wastegate?

James i could kiss you! Did the wheel bearing last sat and no more problems
Thanks for the advice guys
Will,
Hi James,
Thanks very much for this James. I checked the passenger side and felt the spring and got a definite rumble so i have ordered a new wheel bearing (£107, ouch), a meter long breaker bar...
Il give that a go tonight, cheers guys. Its like a grind/rumble, before i changed the engine mounts it effected the steering when turning right. Ive also checked and re-geased the breaks and couldn't...
Cheers Stribo, is there any way i can check them before replacing?
Is there anything else it could be?
Hi guys,
I've got a servre rumble when turning right, the car vibrates you can feel it a lot in the clutch pedal. I have replaced all the engine mounts except for the hydraulic ones. 2 of the 3...
Same here, but its beige so absorbs less heat. Less heat = less weight to carry
Thats science right there...
I hope yours is a light colour also
Second this, cloth weighs less then alcantara
Just a few small changes can get it near to the R's and T5-Rs
Or you could be cheeep. I kept my eye on eBay for a second hand custom stainless system for a V70 (i believe) and welded it to fit my 850. Cost me around 100 quid in total
Could end up waiting a...
Thanks for the input guys, i have asked all the breakers if they have any actuators just waiting to hear back.
Frankie - I had the same problem when using an MBC though so it must be a boost leak?...
