couldn't be the idle air control valve could it? You could try giving it a clean for nowt.
Take it off and blast some brake/clutch cleaner through it. It could just be gummed up and sticking a bit....
i would but I'm too worried about it failing on the emissions!
Partsfor volvos. Google it it'll come up. Excellent for most things and quick delivery.
I've got a dump valve, induction kit, powerflow cat back and mbc. Not bothering with a re-map cos the mbc...
I found my parada spec 2's were superb in the dry. But pretty damn lethal in the wet!
Good stuff! Worst I did was when I was doing my pcv for the first time. Can't remember what I left off now, but i left something off and didn't realise till it was all put back together. Had to strip...
easy way to check if the pcv needs doing is to pull the dipstick out while the engine is running and warm. If you get smoke/steam coming out it needs doing.
If its going on and off I'd think it would be more likely to be the pump rather than the rack.
Yes they are the same for certain. I've got a V70 T5 in bits in my drive. I've had a look and they would go straight on the R. They look identical (apart from the T5 ones are old and knackered) :)
I'm positive the T5 and the R struts are the same fitment.
Careful Gary, I'm sure I've heard rumours of people getting banned for posting up pics of cars like f***a's on here lol :) Quickly remove it before a mod see's it :)
you can get the trays from volvo. about £25 if i remember right. Is yours missing altogether or just faulty? I replaced mine ages ago thinking it was knackered and it turned out to be the stereo not...

I'll try put a couple of recent pics up of my R with its lowered springs on so you can see what you think. I'll dig out the pics aswell of the old springs next to the new ones.
I usually fit Pagid on mine but they have a tendancy to squeal a lot after a while.
I've got the kilen springs on mine. Don't seem too bad, but then again you can't complain for what they cost. They improved the handling on mine a lot. Got em from PartsforVolvos.
And even though...
As far as I know if the ring antenna has gone it won't pump fuel through to the injectors or spark because its staying immobilised.
Seriously I had this same problem and wish i had listened in the...
most I've run mine at was 15psi but not for long cos i was too scared of doing damage :) plus it didn't make it ideal for normal around town driving! I leave it at about 12psi now.
MBC all the way. I've got an MBC but no re-map and the power is very aggresive. I love it and have never regretted getting mine :)
just had this problem with mine. Even the garage couldn't work it out. Turned out to be the stop lock on the wishbone. Still haven't worked out how to stop it catching though! Copper grease has made...
I've got a polybush top mount ut no idea about the others? Are there 2 lower engine mounts?
Looking at the front of the car its looks to me like the passenger side wheel (the side thats catching the...
yep looks like its the stop lock. Greased em up and the knock is still there but a lot less prominant. Could be the carrier arm has got bent slightly? Or the camber slightly out on one side?
Just been searching through some posts and think this could possibly be a lock stop issue?
I did forget to mention that it only does it when the car is on the ground. Quiet as a mouse when jacked...
Yeah, when I replaced the struts (less than 6 months ago) I replaced all the suspension parts. All bushes, nuts, springs seats, top mounts, everything.
I did suspect it could be a failed top...
right I've replaced both cv joints, drop links, wishbones and the suspension struts and springs and I'm getting a knock when on full lock left.
It only does it at low speed forwards or backwards....
