i have a friend in the states with a 04 v70 2.5t has this front pad rattle, his local volvo dealer said shims are for rear only, so whats the solution to fix the front rattle ? ?

I need to change the fan belt and tensioner on my car, is it hard and is there a how to anywhere giving step by step advice ?

its the fanbelt tensioner or v belt or serpentine belt etc etc etc :hilarious

looking down the left hand side of engine there is a little belt enclosed in a metal chamber, mines needs adjusted or replaced as it twangs at certain revs, any ideas on price or how easy to adjust...

i have oil a oil leak from offside area of the engine but no smoke, wonder if its the return pipe as i believe there prone to leaking from there whats the best way to check as engine oil isnt really...

when i got my car the fm mode was intermitent it would work fine ,then crackling then just a hiss of static, so i listened to 5 live on mw/am now thats bloody gone and all imleft with is the hissing...

took it to a few places this week and they both put up on ramps, the first place said it aint blowing but its touching the body at the rear, second place today at first thought it was the heat shield...

just noticed a noise coming from under my car, its either a rattle or the exhaust is blowing, thing is its only when the car is driving when it does it, it happens between 1000 rpm and 1500rpm then...

is the reason they are rubbing at the rear not because they are the wrong size my v70r has 215's all round, i think you are using tyres that are too wide for the car and as they aint as much room in...

so where do you get these hubcemtric ones you have in the picture as i would like to space my rear ones out too ?

I had a 3 inch cat back system on my old S70-R and there were no probs getting it done

bit off topic but i owned a 2.0 16v ford probe a few years back and it made a similar noise but only after driving for a few miles, stayed till the engine was cold again, when it did appear reving...
