    Mitsubishi engines have a reputation for crap running and needing de-cokes every so often. There is a way to identify them but I am not sure what it is, maybe engine number will have a code in it.

    I suggest any one with an S40, next time you are cleaning the car, clear all the mud from this area. I almost had to chip the mud away today. It is a rust hole waiting to happen.
