Just noticed you found the JBL speakers I installed. There was a full set of 8 when I sold the car.

They cleared the codes and 2 cruise control codes were still active on the list. Told me its a common fault with these cars. Really decent bloke. Most places charge £40 just to read codes. So saved...

Did you have the codes read or just change the sensor?

Think that would be the safer option. My passenger window has a mind of its own too and I have alot of DTCs stored on the car so that might have to go on my to-do list. Thanks for the quick reply....

LOL. No worries. it's a shame to here the 944 needs work. Looked really good when you came for the car. Can't beat good old fashioned engines. :)

Thanks for that, I was worried that's what you'd say. The cruise doesn't light up at all when driving. Therefore It must be broken :( any common faults to look out for.

The motor sits behind the glove box. Once the glovebox is taken out its 4 screws to get the motor off. Then with a bit of a wobble etc you can take it out and clean it. Not sure on greasing or oiling...

If it's any help I was getting the loud banging noise and occasional knocking at all speeds over pot holes and speed humps. I replaced the Drop links @ £8.79 each and all is cured now.
