Welcome to the forum!
Nice to see it being looked after and enjoying those wonderful Scottish roads!
Where are you based?
Oh no, after all that too :(
The ostrich will fit into the 4.4 no problem.
Ditch that 4.3 and TT and run the modified 608 map from Volvospeed then you can datalog superfast
Oooh sexy
pmsl :D :D
I've bought their CV joints and boot kits for years. Cheap as chips but never any issues and for the price you can always buy another.
Ooooh, tantalising bit of info there, care to elaborate? :D
That and fuel costs not helping...
We're still here though :D
I haven't updated my project thread fore a while, though life has got in the way!
Very nice Mark :)
Why do we keep buying them?
What? you can't leave us with info like that. What happened?
At least you know now the ecus aren't at fault.
Interesting one, as Moley says, must be a bad wire somewhere.
Only one way to find out....
You said you'd tried 2 ecu's unless it fried both of them?
Guessing it maybe shorted and sent high current through the ecu.
One way to test it is to try those ecus in another Volvo...
Proper race car style! :D
Can't see it being an issue. Have it on a switch on the dash labelled up.
Maybe check the ecu socket to see if there are any issues.
Then test power and grounds to the ecu.
Here is a signal description list of what the pins should be with ignition on and when idling...
Bad immobiliser? Not sure if it cuts the fuel pump relay or spark though
You say there's no voltage actually coming from the ecu?
I just used my Haynes manual TBH and went from there. It depends on your ability level though.
Nice one Dave, will be nice to see it on the road again.
I was around your old haunt Telford today at Newdale Primary.
A mate of mine had the same issue. The indy he took it to did all the usual stuff, regenerated it, cleaned everything, still didn't work. In the end he said they said that there was a timer/mileage...
If it's for an S70 (or P1 x70 series up to 98/99) then in theory, yes.
Yeah they did have some mongrel cars in the last few of the pre facelift models
Mine is the late 2004 and has the facelift body and interior but the older engine (163bhp)
I think they do have separate fuses, according to the owners manual page 172
