No active valves... It's fairly subdued. Likes a bit of whoosing as you ease off the throttle. I have the DO88 aluminium intake from the air filter to the turbo now which has made a difference in...
T6 are total weapons. I'm sure you'll not be disappointed. My parents had a polestar'd XC60 and it quickly made me want something with that engine....
Both sound rather nice!!
Aye, its practically flush with the bulkhead at the back.
Shoe horned in for sure!!
Got rid of my 850R.....
Replaced it with this.
2012 V60 T6 R design AWD
Polestar'd 330 horse
Jap import
£280 a year road tax due to this.... Better than £580.
Surprisingly cheap to insure....
Not a Hijack.... Lee,
Tried to convince myself I could afford the proper polestar version but who was I kidding....
However, I refused to be beaten and bought this today....
Another step up...
Thank you for the very detailed response
I think it would be rude not to go for a look/test drive consider ing it is not far away from me.
Lee, real world mpg on your car?? Looking hard at these... Got a 60 daily commute (quiet motorway) to consider... Ideally needs to do 30 mpg. Gonna walk for everything else
These seem like rocking horse poop at the moment... Its been months since I've seen any for sale on Autotrader/Ebay/Gumtree.....
People must be holding on to them tight.... Not surprised...
...
About bloody time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So jealous. My dream car.
I will have one!! Some day, when they are a bit cheaper.
What a beast.
Car still goes like a stabbed rat so I'm happy enough.......
Perhaps the issue lies in the exhaust system....
I think I will just have to except it.... That it howls like the Vulcan. Could be...
...... Still howls.... :grumpy:
However, hopefully solved the horrendous oil leak and the turbo no longer whines... 2 out of 3.
I bloomim hope it does as I've dropped about 350 quid in the last week!!!
Exhaust manifold gasket trimmed.
Exhaust manifold fitted.
Wastgate manifold fitted with gasket between exhaust and manifold.
Turbo refitted with new CHRA.
New o ring and gasket for oil turbo...
Part no 1270537 which isn't the stock T5 part
I wondered that myself but when I looked for other specific 850r exhaust manifolds it appears that is how they were... I understand they were a bit better than the standard T5. You can certainly see...

Managed to get a "japanifold" which came today. Looks in good nick.... 850R in picture to compare.
New CHRA ready to fit into Turbo.
New gaskets all round, including the one piece...

Exhaust housing from the turbo. Little crack internally but nothing apparent on the outside.
I HOPE this is the issue..... I actually took it all apart to check there were no cracks in either it, or the turbo exhaust housing.....
I am on with the japanifold as we speak. It won't go back...

Finally took the challenge head on.... Clearly the end cylinder has been leaking. Oddly enough the first bolt I tried removing on the exhaust manifold was loose......
You're such a tease......
Where's the pics of the new purchase????
2.5 years.....
Looks crazy as always!!
Post 5 suggests yes.... Might depend on what 17 inch wheels you have
