like I said, get a wideband and you will know exactly what it's doing.
Adam.
Don't know. Is the fueling ok at idle and at cruise?
Adam.
1. Same as the pressure source. Inlet manifold.
2. Normally switches between 0.2V and 0.8V. It's completely non linear though. Come to think of it, it's not linear on wideband either but it's a...
Personally, if it was me and my project car and I wanted it to run as well as possible, I would replace all the old components for new ones, including all the sensors too.
But I can't really...
I'd look at the last thing you changed, especially given that you are using a non-standard fuel pump.
Adam.
Just that a well spec'ed T5 is the same as a T5R.
Adam.
I'd stick with the T5!
Adam.
Check the fuel pressure.
Adam.
Besides, the D5 rules!!! :)

The thing is Lance, the average Joe in the street doesn't really care about the 1/4 mile. What they want is a nice new motor that looks good and also performs well.
Personally, if I wanted to win...
You also have to remember that although the peak power might not be as easily achievable, the new T5 engines actually have a wider power and torque range, with peak torque being available from approx...
You just answered your own question... it's a different engine! Different turbo and high compression = crap for tuning for big top end power with software alone.
Adam.
No difference! They both go to 250-260 bhp when tuned. The software in the Hocus Pocus is a little more aggressive mapping and produces more power than the Volvo does standard.
Adam.
Hi all,
OK, I know that members on here probably don't have one yet, but I thought you may be interested to know that we now have RICA ECU upgrades available for all the C30 engine variants -
...
Hamish has!
Adam.
Only Chip Tuning Scotland and ourselves in Bromsgrove can do that one.
Adam,
Me go back to a petrol? Don't think that will ever happen! :)
Adam.
We supply the Wideband Commanders. I will PM you a price tomorrow and some suggestions on how to use it. You will need to use a VNT turbo big enough to flow the same power at 5000+ rpm. I must do...
Food for thought! Nothing is impossible. In fact, the Dynojet Wideband Commander with a few other bits and bobs would be able to do this for you based on RPM and boost pressure, except that it's...
No. They are auto-adjusting to the road and to your driving, and will give improved handling without sacrificing ride quality.
Don't confuse a wallowy ride with a firm but compliant ride.
Adam.
You will struggle to get a modern diesel turbo to work on your car. They use VNT which dynamically changes the physical geometry of the turbo to aid spooling at low revs without losing power at high...
For those who were interested in buying it, the car is being traded in. Sorry!
Adam.
If you want self leveling, then get new Nivomats. If not, fit Koni FSD all round for best handling.
Adam.
I agree!
