Hi everyone
My yr 2000 p2 v70 t5 is bog standard at the moment but I'd like to hear a bit more engine noise.
Not overly keen on a new exhaust but am thinking about the possibility of something...
Just go the whole hog and have the 2.5T with the big turbo. (ie, the R). 300hp basic, loads of potential.
Interesting - the blistein mounts, that's the top mounts??
where abouts did you get the stuff, especially the boge shocks?
Well sometimes it can be like that but if you're looking at the pfv or Sachs shocks then that isn't the case.
The pfv shocks are meyle apparently, so need to do investigation as to their...
At the moment I think I'm going to replace the front dampers and rubber spring seats, keeping the existing top mounts and springs.
Unless I can find any reason to need to replace the top mounts...
I've replaced the rubber spring seats before on my old 850 t5 but never the top mounts.
Now - when people talk about top mounts - do they mean
The rubber spring seats - http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_532&products_id=6995
Or
The top Mount -...
Thats good news then, if springs aren't needed that saves a few quid - I'm not looking to lower the car so I suspect the dampers are just tired!
Let's see if anyone else has a view too!
Hi all
I've got an early (late 2000) p2 v70 t5 and at 104k miles the suspension all round feels tired (bouncing along and crashing over things!).
Anyone had any experience of fitting the...
Oil from costco... amazing price
Have you checked all the big fat earth straps everywhere for corroision etc?
Yes I did get a deal on the oil...
£3.67/ltr inc vat :)
Hi everyone,
I am aproaching the mileage limit for my next service (well, 2k miles off) but the service light is not on the dash yet.
Do I wait for the light to come on (when does it come...
genuine for me for all service items.
may not be the cheapest but after a horrific experience with a cheap non-genuine MAF I'll always just pay the money from now on.
Spark plugs on a petrol T5...
Oh... and everything else like Plugs/Leads/Dizzycap all in good order?
Sounds like a MAF issue to me - I had very similar issues on my car (T5, not LPG converted) before I changed mine.
A few basics - does the car do the same on petrol as well as LPG?
Have you...
stones trapped round the bottom of the coil spring?
strut top mounts badly worn or the spring mounts cracked?
Rufe - out of interest, what is on that volvo sheet for a 2000 p2 v70 t5? (I also presume the service intervals are 12k?)
Right - thought I'd finish this thread off with the outcome.
Bought a new genuine bosch MAF from partsforvolvosonline and fitted it two days ago.
Have done about 100 miles on the new MAF and...
Some companies are offering interest free on gas conversions as the amount you'll save offsets the cost of the conversion.
Don't take this the wrong way but what about a different job or getting...
yup, thats right
Excellent, makes it sound about right on mine
I'd start by whipping the front strut out and inspecting it - I did with with my p2 v70 and found that the strut top mount lower items are cracking around the rubber... No way I'd have found this...
The following may help if you flush it - there is a special sequence that you have to go through on the gearbox to get all the oil out - Like D>N>D>N>R>P or something similar - it's on that VADIS DVD...
seconded - I have just had a new alternator on my p2 v70 at 72k miles, but this was due to no output rather than over output.
They have a voltage regulator on the back that controls the output.
