Tested and seems fine. No leaks. Brakes still squeal like a stuck pig. Can't find any metal shims online - what material should I use?

Leak looks fixed. Managed to do the fix without locking up the cams. I also reworked the BBK so hopefully it wont squeal as much. Weather has been a bit damp, so not had chance to test it yet.
Isolated the leak to the inlet cam oil seal. FRF are sending one and I'll get it in over the weekend.
Good news bad news. Last week I change the oil (10w 60 fully synth - the expensive stuff). Not driven that far since 2021 (maybe 1500 miles) -...
DM'ed Shem on WhatsApp about what he'd recommend. He said the MaxxECU Race Premium, with open ended harness. Not wishing to appear stupid but I guess an open ended harness is just the wires? Dunno...
Replaced the oil return seal again, as the other one was clearly still weeping a bit. Tightened to 20Nm - which is 8Nm more than the book value. I am toying with the idea of an aftermarket ECU,...
The pin hole in the inner CV boot is fixed. There was a minor oil weep from the oil return which I have tweaked today.
However I am feeling a bit frustrated. One of the main issues was running...
The gain on my controller was set right down to zero - so this explains why the torque was lower than expected. I put a new powerflex lower torque mount on the transmission. I also noticed that the...
Shem is a good tuner - but really hard work. Betsy was with him for the best part of 2 years & progress was painfully slow - I had more patience than most hospitals & saints combined - in the end I...
But my car is no M4.4 its ME7
I emailed Simon @ Sitech and he wondered if the new ported W/G might not be shutting properly so I think I might put an extra turn on the pre-load & see if it spools a bit quicker.
Here is a sobering thought after the recent euphoria. The 2014 graph on the dead MJA engine in red vs. the ShemTek engine in blue ( from Friday last) . I am giving away a lot of torque lower down -...
Dean was selling his Aem wmi with loom if that's what you need

I got to Sitech Racing in Dunfermline just before 1 pm. We put Betsy on the dyno & started fairly gently around 1.25 bar just to see what was going on. We did 14 runs in just under 90 minutes...
Yes I am very pleased with the install - but unfortunately it doesn't provide data logging as I originally thought it would.

The mount is excellent and the vent still works though...

Bricking it a bit now. Going to Sitech in Dumfermline on Friday for a RR day. I feel very nervous about what may or may not happen. Looking for 1.5 bar and see what kind of figures Betsy...
like many bill boards - a lot has turned to social media groups instead.
Shem Green in the East Midlands is probably you best bet. Are you looking for hp increase or just a like for like replacement?
Our new house has a steep drive and getting in and out of the garage is a PITA, especially with the low ground clearance on BR coilovers. I finally finished the necessary ramps needed to get Betsy...
Taken me 3 broken engines. My main bug bear is with the small screw holes in the white block head. Just be super careful when tightening steel into aluminium. Buy an engine stand & make sure you are...

Wife overlocked a section of heat wrap to form a heat shield for the new AFR sensor loom. Fits nicely into the space. A bit of fettling to do (suspect that there is a small exhaust...
I fenced the work out to someone else. I only noted the fact that by the hinge side there was a few mm of meat left that could be taken away. I have been assured that it will do the business.

The new actuator bracket has been painted and fitted now and the port on the W/G opened out to as much as possible. I've had the bung welded in to the downpipe and redone the...
Picking Betsy up with new MOT and paint job from the body shop end of this week. Really looking forward to it. Once I've got her to Jedburgh - I can start trying to remediate the overboost and...
Volvos never die - they just live off old ones.
I used the opportunity to have some long overdue paintwork done on Betsy. Windscreen has been removed to sort the rust around the apperture...
