Bugger. (Excuse my French)
I suppose I could but the car on axel stands in the garage.
I have found another R and I am going to pick it up on wednesday. I want to however get the anthracite Pegasus alloys refurbished properly.
Now, I would like to put a spare set of alloys on...
I took the car in last night as I could not drop the car off in the morning. Anyway I get a phone call to tell me what they have found. I have boiled the brake fluid that is probably because VOLVO...
Well I tried this and it did not work. I have now booked my car in at volvo for them to have a look at next week, plus a few other problems I have which I have been saving :D
I will try that when I get home tonight. Thanks
An noise update. I have come home and got my dad to listen to the noise which is more of a creaking click noise ONLY when turning the steering wheel to the right from lock to lock. It does not creak...
I have had the power steering reservoir changed last year under warranty.
Also I would like to add that the noise is only appant at slow parking speeds.
The noise is apparent at any steering angle in either direction.
Of late when I am manoeuvring and turning the steering wheel I can hear a what can only be described as a creaking noise at only this time. What could it be.
That is correct. When I have been sat in the car at night with the lights pointing at a wall, row of bushes, etc.. I have seen the lights move up then back again, very quickly.
No. I have no...
The bulbs are expensive, £100 a go and more for fitting especially for the drivers side - bumper has to be removed and headlight unit as well to replace the bulb.
The lights do self level.
I have a 2003 S60R and I sort of had a similar problem - where the lights apear to me focused about 2 foot infront of the car. This might seem that the lights are dipped too much, but it maybe that...
I had my hand brake shoes replaced earlier because they where worn out. They said that for normal operation, one click to hold the car and 3 clicks to fully hold the car. Although that does depend...
That spoiler/lip looks really good, no, really good and even dare I say it, better than the Volvo R item. It looks to have a better angle/ spoilerness look about it.
Here is my R spoiler, tiny...
If you wanted to use your ipod to play through the cars OE HU8**, then why did you not just buy a usa spec or iMiv module instead of forking out for a new Alpine HU with ipod connectivity?
Thanks for this info, I think V70ETS.
ST, might I ask, if it has not already been mentioned, as to why did you not go down the usa spec/imiv units so you can use your ipod?
Did your car come...
No, not quite. They are silver all over.
loverly looking S70 you have there.
cheers guys. When I went out Thursday, I gave the bakes a work out with two bigs is stops and the marks have gone from the discs. They are now the same colour all over.
Thanks. I have emailed a brake specialist - Ian Goney of godspeedbrakes and see what he has to say.
Thanks for your honest reply. I am no expert either, so I am asking around on forums.
Thanks for that. If what you suggest turns out to be right, surely new seals and 'bits' to refurbish the callipers would suffice considering that they are Brembo.
I have taken some pictures for...
When I picked my car up from the garage after having the MOT done, there was a little note sating that there was blueing on the discs. This would indicate that the discs have gotten hot. I have...
Well I am glad your passed as well. Mine too las cost me a lot of money to get it is today. I actually totted up the bills and I almost fell off my chair when I saw the total amount and it has not...
Good luck with that and I hope yours passes like mine has done. Just got a phone call to say car is ready to be picked up and that she passed.
Off now to go and collect.
