the R twin intercooler shows...
ipd ones are not the same as xc90 , there are a couple of places you can see its reinforced.
there is only 1 type from Volvo, I haven't heard anything about them all being from an xc90 .

the motors could have gone out of sync, if they haven't actually failed. this is something you can check on vida.
some of them you can keep it if you shorten the hose going onto the throttle body by 1 inch.
there are 2 different types - 413mhz and 433mhz. you just have the wrong frequency.
you can tell this with a remote testing box or by chassis number on vida but it is only a guide as some were...

I cant find a spec on the length for you in my data books.
all of the models that you can re use state the length there, and what is ok or not.
it probably goes down because the air flow amount would drop during gearchange, making the intercooler more effective.

ref universal intercoolers, all of the discussions I have had with do88 about how they make significant improvements indicate the design of the end tank is critical for good flow over the whole...
