I cut the springs on my last 940 and it was fine. The front one are especially fine to cut because their not ended in any particular way so when they are cut they have the same shape. The back ones...

Although its not overly expensive theres not exactly much to it! You'd be as well using the money to buy an angle grinder a tape measure and some sheet and cut them out yourself.
Im wanting to...
I do agree Frankie that the t5's sound good, but to me speed is more important than sound. If you get left behind you can only hear the sound of loosing!
its been suggested before a few time about putting in a t5 into a 940. seems pointless to me when the redblock will handle 400bhp.
i wouldn't bother with a 960, just get a 2.3 red block.
my...
ball and spring type are better. as suggested the forge is a good one.
iv got a forge and it works well.

I have a t28 on my 940 lpt. you need an t3 to t28 adaptor and to get the manifold machined flat on the turbo mounting face, and obviously the oil feed line and return, the water pipes and the exhaust...
Hey,
sorry my time was 14.63 not 14.53, please could you change it frankie.
ta mate
my best time is 14.53 @ 95mph volvo 940, t28, mbc, 3" exhaust, vxr injectors, 3" throttle
Top half, you'll be in the top 3 i reckon!!
Nice mate. glad to see you've got a decent motor again instead of that gay vectra. you better keep this one, im not taking anymore volvo shells to the scrappy for you!!
good to see its an estate...
I might be wrong but Im pretty sure that a bigger exhaust sacrificed lower down torque for hight bhp.
ah right, i wonder if thats what comes in this kit.
Just found out off my mate, he used a product called plasti dip, theres a vid on you tube

my mate just did his punto wheels with an alloy paint that drys rubbery so it doesn't chip. spray paint will chip real easy unless this has a rubbery finish, it may do in this kit. iv only seen pics...
I saw this last night whilst i was waisting my time on ebay! very nice motor. good for 350whp with the 940 engine it would be a beast!
get it bought!
Looking good mate, looking forward to seeing it when its finished.
That's absolute genius, using a v8 and dividing it into 4 turbos!! I want to see a V12 with 6 turbos now!! strange though how its 2200 break and only (used loosely) 1000 lb/ft. thought it would be...
i saw this a while back, quality motor.
Why have you put it away again!?
i believe its the 960 m90 box that fits to the t5 box. on the 940 the m90 came after 1995. the diff ratios vary, i think there the same as 940 ratios but not 100%. so i think they are 3.31, 3.54,...
Looks good mate, looking forward to seeing it in the flesh and seeing what times it produces.
Any things possible! im building a rear engined MR2 2ltr turbo fiberglass mini so id say yeh of coarse! id stay away from twin engine, iv never really seen the point as it'd be heavy and to get them...
Iv read in so many places that the later redblock rods are good for 350bhp and the earlier 740 redblock rod will put up with 500bhp but the oil squirters arnt as good.
smithys running 260whp and...
iv had 2 problems with my 940 since the cold!!!! it was bloody freezing! first the heater wire came of at the dial, so i fixed it. then when it was amazingly cold it decided to come of at the heater...
That sounds way to loud to me to be the release bearing, fingers crossed the box doesn't have to come off again! if it does then you'll need to get it up here so we can get it in the motor club where...
Iv just lined the rood of my 940 in a black felt. My dad converts vans into motorhomes and its the stuff they put on the walls of the van. It comes in a variety of colours and is put of with trim...
