That's the one. 215102 on the mileage. It's got my old T5 engine in it which was on162k. I've got a later 2.3l reconditioned engine with ported head lined up to go in soon.
P805 TMR is now a manual 855R with M59 gearbox. Mechanically tip-top but bodywork still on the list of things to do.
I'll give 'em a tinkle
I have a feeling my bushes have gone in my front IPD ARB.
They're 25mm PU, does anyone know where I can get replacements?
Even better.
I did wonder this. Was thinking of getting the Bilstein B6's to replace the B4's as Koni seem to only sell in a full set?
I guess another way would be to find out the standard rear spring rate and the eibach rear spring rate, and then calculate from that.
Anybody?
Ha, they're in Chi; my old stomping ground
I've been told that on Coil Overs, a 6kg spring works well on an 855. I'm not going down the Coil Over route, can I simply rock up with my old spring and say "I want one of these, but 6kg...
This isn;t the 205 that was up at Shem's a few months ago is it?
Tried the caravan spring assisters. I put them in at the bottom of the spring so will try them at the top and see if it's any better. I've got the IPD ARB already in. I'm using Bilstein B4 shocks....
I've got Eibachs on my 855R, I always thought they were a bit soft, Shem's just agreed they feel soft.
I don't want to go putting coilovers on as I've only just refreshed all the suspension.
...
Can't wait! Putting a 3" MAF and 3" intake pipe in to get a bit more air flowing too.
Got an 18T in mine boosting low at the mo, We're just about to put in some VXR injectors and remap it with a Motronix 4.4 turbo on 3.8 bar.
Let's see how long it lasts. :blowingup
Nice Llamas.
Ah yeah. I'm sure I remember someone saying they fit, but that a soft set up in a Volvo box would be a more race oriented setup in a focus box. I'll ask.
No they're not cheap at all! Don't seem to come up second hand too often either which I guess is reassuring in a way.
I wondered if it was worth joining one of the ford ST(d) forums and trying to...
Haha, I'll keep you posted. After this thread though I may well hang on to it and fix it up with a Gripper when I get the cash.
Haha. And no bitching, moaning, flaming.
Should get this one pinned for 'best practice'
Yeah them Gripper's ain't cheap!
Hmmm, if I can get the money back later I guess not bad, otherwise you're right.
Reality is I'll probably stick with it.
Cheers buddy. Will see what's up with the M56 when it's off. Maybe keep it and get a gripper fitted in time.
I'll see how I get on with the M59 box. I need a new gearbox one-way or the-other so may as well use what I had saved for the Gripper so far and get the M59. It is indeed a few hundred squids with...
I doubt I'll go that much higher than the 300bhp mark I'm at to be honest; maybe 310/315ish. I'm focussing on drivability now; not interested in drag racing.
Suspension is working well on the...
I like the idea of that damper thing. If anyone fancies cutting an extra set of mounts when they're making theirs, I'll happily buy them with some earth pounds. What strut are you all using?
Clay,...
