Cheers guys, Ill let you know how I get on
I bought an ECU from this auction:

And asked for an ecu to fit a 1996 850 T5 manual estate, but they...
Cheers guys, got dragged off to Tenerife for 2 weeks, so not been able to do much, but my auto spark friend is meeting me at 10am tomorrow and by hook or by crook we are going to get the damn thing...
Sorry, yes, your right its the Fuel System Main Relay im on about, rather than the pump relay near the fuses.
Ive hard wired the pump direct and that chirps away nicely, so I can hopefully rule...
Hi guys, not been on for a while as working offshore now, and my old man now drives the ovlov in my absense :)
Im a bit lost on this one, and really hoping you guys can help.
My T5 has been...
youll risk compressor surge when you shut off with isnt healthy for turbo life
stalling the turbo due to massive back pressure repeatedly will inevitable cause something to give (twisted/snapped...
well, sorted out the track rod end today, and also moved the boot lid latch back a shade to stop the tailgate vibrating
towed home another 850 2.5 SE that i bought to use for spares, to be honest...
Do you mean fuel cut? if so my t5 does the same at 12psi, like hitting dog?
turned it down to 10 and no probs, can go full throttle till gear change
Well....had its test this morning....didnt pass...at least ive got a hit list now:
Headlamp Aim incorrect
o/s indicator inoperative (this works, so not sure what hes talking about?)

Ah, I see what you mean.
Does the BCS have a sensor or is it simply a valve?
Yeah I know what you mean Pedro, but still dont understand your point?
So how would you plumb an MBC so that you still have limp home mode?
Jod, my understanding is that the BCS is just an electronically controlled bleed valve, i.e. the BCS doesnt bleed away enough to effect the actual pressure in say, the plenum etc, it simply controls...
I have done it differently on my T5
I have done as alan m said, and plumbed the MBC inline between the BCS and the actuator.
The actuator opening is what stops boost being produced, the BCS...
yep, same as mine, so simple!
is your rad fan stuck on?
what type did you use bomb?
ive seen a few mbcs on the market, some fancy 3 piece 'turbosmart' types ones, which i dont fully understand, and then the other, dead simple 'interupter' pressure...
I dont think Ill go too much further to be honest, maybe slim down the centre divider a shade more, but thats probably all
Im not an expert by any means, but as mentioned in niles thread, i think...
Well, the heater hoses are fixed, replaced the actuator:

congratulations!
Was that a 15G you had been running 20psi on?
If you have a long extension for your socket set, i find the most knuckle freindly way for undoing the downpipe nuts is by removing the osf wheel and attacking them from afar
Have fun!
after reading this, i had to have a bit of a bash on my spare manifold today (will take some snaps tomorrow) haha
on looking at my manifold now, (off a 96 T5) its slightly different in quite a few...
Hoses it is then!
Cheers Brick

I would usually replace like for like, but in this instance, i have no idea where I would find this part...there are no dealerships over here (Isle of Man) and what they charge to post items like...
