Ok, If you completely dismantle the coilover you should have: over the strut shaft a plastic cap over the shaft seal, followed by a large plastic washer, then the rubber bump-stop with the dust boot...
Could you post a complete or preferably dismantled pic of your setup showing which pieces you have and in what order?
