My 2 pence. Ive had wanli, falkans and kuhmos. the only ones id ever consider touching again and only if i had to would be kuhmos. The wanlis were scary bad.
Oh sorry guys, dropped the ball on this one. I've told my dad to get the gearbox oil changed but so far he's done sod all about it!
It tends to do it mostly once its hot if that helps. Also once...
oooh eastbourne, i live there!! Ive got something in the mid 30s on a run up to gatwick late at night.
got mums 940 lpt auto down at the moment coz moving stuff out of uni house. Sometimes it doesn't take reverse, one time it will take it 2nd time you try or after a pause, others im sat for minutes...
i have had a trip computer reading of 38 on a trip from eastourne to gatwick in my old rica 304 850 on standard rims. Was deliberately trying to dive economically. I imagine there is some innaccuract...
I believe ME7 engines dont like BOV so much but i think being '98 your will pre-ME7.
Checked for boost leaks?
Certainely a fast car, but hear the wheelspin. There comes a limit as to what power theres worth running through fwd imo and this is way over it!
Still imagine its a laugh driving it.
I wouldn't be complaining at 28 mpg lol!!!
i think the 850 looks like one of those cars from an advert that they've tried to 'debrand' so that most people cat tell what make it is
c70 is kinda cool in a way that im not sure!
hes got a c70 has he not now with granddddeee wheels?
not bad, dont like the merc centres at all. still they probably cost quite a lot of dosh and can think of much nicer alloys to put on there
Most of the older wrx's unless moded are pretty damn slow. To get them quick need uprated turbos etc etc. Only 215bhp odd and then add drivetrain losses and loss of bhp with age.
I matched, maybe even pulled slightly from one, in my 328i sport from about 60-not really that fast. Off the line they got advantage of quattro, but not very powerful standard and drivetrain loss.
Never damaged any of my volvos :) (although i will keep quiet about the bmw lol). Although some tool did scrape the rear bumper of my 1st one when id been away in america for a few weeks, one just...
Gonna have to agree with moppy on this one. There are elements that are ok but over all pass thanks.
Like the grill, and the front bumper from the front view (but i think thats how the standard...
I'm not sure, maybe look a bit barry boys on a volvo estate? How about a cold air feed of some sort?
Dave
Could it be a damper gone?
Sorry just re read my post and it comes over a bit arsey!!! The suspension is expensive and will firm up the ride quite alot.
Sounds like this difference in early vs. later phase 1 cars may have...
stick a set of konis with eibachs on, some bushes and a strut brace. That'll sort some vagueness out up to a point, will make the ride a bit harder.
The steering is never going to be full of feel...
we got a 97 940 2.3 lpt. I think we had an issue with the steering rack a while back, but i have a feeling it was something to do with the volvo main stealers cocking up.
Only issue on ours at the...
looks good. would be nice to see some videos of it on the road though :santa:
we had a 960 3.0 auto from 95-01. In this time it ate through 2 gearboxes. Think volvo paid a percentage of costs though. Otherwise it was very reliable, great sounding engine.
I have this system on standard on my scoob. It has a load of nozzels from what i can see and just sprays it down onto the intercooler. Think it might not get affected so much by wind etc due to top...
Ive never driven an R AWD, but from my experience AWD can often feel slower as your not losing grip so feels less 'exciting' i guess.
What AWD system do the R's run?
