If its any help, the likes of HIDs direct sell spare parts such as the ballasts separately. Last time I bought some it was £20 for a pair
Unless they've already been changed most of the suspension parts are likely to be pretty tired :(
Problem with suspension is that once you've started taking it apart you may aswell do everything...

You want to try and prevent it from kicking down under throttle so Sport mode is no good.
Stick it in Winter mode so it starts in third and then lock it in 3 for the best results.
B&M used to do a short shift for the 850 t5.
