have seen this method used on a vaux v6 vectra
worked well to be fair but of course no bearings on anything were checked as all ways had a belt on them

yes all side lights come on as well as interior lights just no puddle lamps

well the car has recently had a new battery
and no alt light on the dash to say its not charging

ok finally got to have a look this morning and there 11w wedge bulbs
however both are fine (tried them in a number plate lamp to test)

are these mirror lamps on a seperate fuse? all other mirror...

that corrosion will give the bulb contacts a high resistance
thats normally what a bulb warning system uses to check the lights
fair chance thats your problem
