Rica Sports Map on older D5's , power delivery is quite fearce.
and traction up to 3rd gear is "challenging"
Newer map on D5 185's is less so
Bit of both really, 225/50 are less available and expensive.
Would like a wee bit less roll- polly in corners too.
Asking bit much maybe from a S80?
Kinda was wanting an opinion on the radius change, on speedo , gearing etc.
Would it also effectively be a modification ? In insurance terms. . I wonder
Hi guys, I need 4 tyres soon for the S80.
Currently on 225/50/17 extra load.

Anybody know good code reader for a phase 3 model. My s80 has an airbag light, on, seat belt sensor I think. I would like to extinguish it for its mot in April , when new rules come into effect :(
I successfully drilled the shunt in my previous S60. The drill hole size 1mm .
I bought a spare shunt just in case. But worked fine
Very nice.
I fancy a D5 one next and keep the S80 too.
thats my plan
Rica,
Turbo-tuner
Unfortunately you need to buy the maps too. £450+
I purchased one for the S80. Was only circa 100. Simple and can change maps, delete dtc's etc. You get update for 2 years afaik, for your maps.
Tune feels just as good as taking it to tuner.

My mate has a s60 2.4T manual, with rica map from a ppc unit.
Goes well, nice early spool up. Made a good 235-240bhp when RR'd
Cheers guys, gives it a wee change of look . And good tyres for winter.
I had my C70 in for a MOT last week, it was needing new tyres, it had 17" Tethys on it.
I remembered i had 4 17" Thors with newish tyres in the shed, so stuck them on . May leave like that for a...
Very nice Martyn .
What's the colour combo inside ?.
Having "waxe'd my rims" in the past with Chemical guy's wheel guard.
It is Ok , and does prevent stick on build up of brake dust.
As with any alloys its important to not allow the nasty stuff...
very nice , I still like my C70 too, want a convertable though in future for a toy
I have drained and replaced the P/steering fluid.
It has help a bit.

I have found that cheaper oem pads, had a tendancy to be squeaky.
I fit Mintex, or Volvo pads and they were always "eek" free.
Top mounts /?
did you replace the rubber caps?
Hi. Guys
My c70 has not been getting a lot of use recently. Took for a run over the weekend. And my power steering seems to be coming and going '.?
I checked fluid , which was very brown cloudy,...
Map it :)
I didnt see a big difference either between euro 3 & 4
both mapped and unmapped
euro 3 sports map was better, though it is quite brutal
I drilled my Shunt, easy to do. to get rid of message
cancellers didnt make a difference on my S60
Buy a spare shunt for £5 if you botch it.
I never replaced the back of the light covers,
Maybe I'm lazy :)
