I can see the camshaft and there is oil circulating and the engine is running very smooth as always

But that doesn't help in the question would it be ok to drive to the garage 6 miles away and should that journey be done slowly as I am a complete novice when it comes to motoring issues

Hi got a cheap one off eBay a Bluetooth one that connects to my tablet and found out it was the brake pedal sensor at fault took it off gave it a clean and it's cured the fault
Not bad for less...
