Don't get me wrong, I'm not one for bashing MODS and complaining. I do like the VOC forum, but it just seemed completely random and a daft method of going about things. It was one post of which...
The first picture are you referring the black valve that sticks out with the electrical connect next to it?
If so that black valve has nothing connected to it. It's left like that. I think it's...
I asked... No reply
Ok granted this is a rant about the VOC forum lol! But I've just seen they've closed our What have you done to your X40 tread, Only reason I can see as one of the members (Who hasn't had an issue...
Used to take the caravan and go up Thruxton each year to watch that. Had a friend who was mates with Rob Collard and got free paddock passes too. Hardly have that time free nowadays.
As I said on VOC - Replace. Silverlake has a used one in their yard near you. It's only £20 if you take your old one to them at the same time.
I've seen this stuff before, Its a good idea as you effectively never have to replace your coolant again, Just make sure your block is bone dry though as it'll cause issues otherwise. I had planned...
Most likely a ring or sensor I'd go with. Check rings aren't cracked. Pop a resistance test on for the sensors :)
How long you had the rough idle? Diesels have an Air ICV as of sorts. That top hose that connects to the black box on top of the inlet manifold I BELIEVE is like an ICV - If the Idle issue started...
N75 is fudged then. Don't drive too much without this hose connected or boost too much in testing. The wastegate is effectively disable at the moment so you can do some serious damage if you don't be...
Yeah - Disconnect it from the N75 valve end. Then drive the car and see if it boosts. If it boosts then stop boosting and connect the wastegate back up as it's the N75 that's fudged.
This is the waste gate. You can buy them separate too. Plug the hose back in for other bit lol
EGR blanking is generally the preferred option. FYI - Be careful about MOT time as it's meant to reduce NOX emissions and you might be caught out on your next MOT.
Just because they have a full time job, Doesn't mean they're working at that time lol ;)
Kieran If you follow the hoses from the N75 Valve to the wastegate (I think it's the top hose) and unplug it was the wastegate.
Take it for a test drive after and see if it boosts. As soon as you...
My gearbox problems was a rock making a hole in the casing and the box decided it would rather empty the oil out that hole then keep hold of it!
But I've not seen the whole gearstick wobble. Only...
Is it the whole stick that's wobbling or just the gear knob itself?
