Well replacement pump arrived 5pm last night . I've just been out and fitted & tested it with vacuum gauge .... it's a LOT better than my knackered pump which struggled to get to 400 max but was...
Ouch ! They can stay std for now .... the money pot empty after the rebuild from the timing belt jump .... new head , bolts , belts ect
Do any of you guys know if there is anywhere that does a silicone hose kit for the turbo / intercooler on my above listed vehicle
Replacement pump hopefully here on Tuesday.
I had to go with S/H .... as new nearly £300 and the cost of bits to repair belt failure damage has emptied my wallet .
The S/H unit has a 30 day g/tee...
Hopefully !! Especially as the vnt turbo is controlled via the vacuum passed through the control soleniod
Fingers crossed I may have found the cause ?. If not I've definitely found a fault that needs fixed .

I'll check the turbo pipe in morning ... as for intercooler its spot on as I only replaced it 13 months ago... as the original was leaking & badly bowed when I bought car

In oct the crankshaft pulley for the auxiliary drive belt separated and allowed some of the belt to get under the timing belt & jump the timing destroying the head. ...

Looking at the figures you give I'll take it that my M.A.P sensor is ok tthen as I've just been and double checked and the figures match what you've listed
Hi does anyone know what the volts should read at idle on the M.A.P sensor located in the neck pipe of the intercooler.
I have the perm 5v supply volts and the ground and at idle I have a reading of...
I didn't explain that bit very well !
The oil drip wasn't from the intercooler it was from oil pressure switch . It was coincidence that while under the car on the drive I noticed the intercooler...
Ok thanks .... I'll get the head job finished and make sure its running ok .... then I'll pull turbo off and get it checked over ... anywhere anyone can recommend ?

I'll check intercooler in morning .. I've got the intercooler pipes whilst doing the head and from fitting the intercooler nearly 2yrs ago they only had a Very Light misting of...

It's got a new intercooler I fitted about 2 months after getting it as I noticed a small drip of oil on drive and on inspection I found that the intercooler was goosed...
By that I take it you mean cleaned the intake system ?
ordered plate ... from what ive managed to read theres 2 plates one has a small hole in centre . i pressume thats to help if you get the low flow problem .
