Think mine is obd 2 with the socket by the gear knob.
Thanks Chaps, I will give it a whirl.
Have fallen off the radar as Volvo has been off the road for 2 years now, I've split up with my wife, moved to Tangmere, lost my job, a mate died and I'm now...
Does anyone know if the cooling fan from a phase 1 V70 will fit my 1996 850 T5?
Thank you much :)
Strut brace is a must and if suspension is wooly, replace with GENUINE PARTS - aftermarket parts are sooooooooooooo rubbish. I have had poly bushes in my 1996 T5 and they were good for a while but...
I think im going to use the genuine Volvo stuff - I've read everything from 75/80, 75/90, 5w30 engine oil, DexronII, Dexrin III, synthetic, semi synthetic and full mineral.
My brain now hurts so...
Thanks but that was the number i have already :(
Thanks all - casey, you changed your number, I've been trying to call you bud? How much you want for that box mate? Give me a call if you still have my number, or PM me with yours and i will call...
How many miles on it?
Hi peeps,
Will a gearbox from a '99 C70 T5 fit in my '96 850 t5?
If not, would a V70 p1 gearbox fit?
Manual gearbox, not auto.
Cheers
Can anyone possibly post some photos of a standard obd1 early 850 T5 engine, with the standard volvo rip kit in place please?
Fanxxxx
Cool - they look like top hats - which way round do they go and what are the collar thingies for?
I got Halfords ultra brilliance bulbs £30 each but I got 2 for 1 - brilliant upgrade with minimal fuss!!!
Hi Chaps,
I've bugg3red my lower wishbone bushes AGAIN!!!!! My mechanic mate muttered something about a lead right foot and too much power but in truth, the roads around Pompey are shocking!! ...
I got my PCV system changed yesterday - yes, to ensure that you do it properly, you should really take the inlet manifold off to get to the bolts you need. Mine is a 1996 855 T5 with 240,000 miles...
Cheers all - agreed, new sensor is around £10 from Volvo but it looks like it could be an ar$e to fit! Anyone done one?
Yup - they both rattled and I thoroughly cleaned the new header tank before fitting with vinegar and flushed through with water. As far as I can see, the float is up where it should be, not stuck...
Right - un-plug the sensor and the light does go out, so I think that rules out a short in the wiring up to that point, as it would stay on if there was a short. Plug it back in again and the light...
Fek
Hi chaps,
Just a quickie - I had the red light on the dash for the coolant level but level was good. Swapped over the header tank for one from the scrappie that looks almost spanking new, theory...
Mine is all good now - sorted when I put the cleaned up ICV from my scrapper on to my car. That said, I also changed the BCS and the pipe from the throttle body to the ICV at the same time, so it...
Right - she's still a pig to get into reverse but is driving more smoothly now, after a few hundred miles. It was pressure blead, etc, and the fluid is fine in the reservoir, so dunno what's the...
Mate, that would be blinding as I really don't know where to start and if something looks out of place or not!
Problem is, I'm all booked up until I get married now - Monday night with a dance...
Feels much lighter than before the works started and no, not yet - got a full weekend planned ahead!!
Don't suppose anyone has a diagram to show the correct positioning of the linkage connections???
