Ill second that, mine looks exactly the same so I took my cylinder off to see if the seal had leaked into the servo, but nope dry as a bone!
Is this a real question? If your going to do that then your springs and shocks will be redundant so may as well take them off too while your at it, save a few kilos at the same time, bonus! :rolleyes2
Yes I agree, I have my daughters seat in the back of mine and it's no problem at all :)
And this could be the ETS light cause? Thanks for your help I will get in touch with him and get one ordered. It's fortunate that you can get them separate as on the Mercs you have to have a complete...
It's a manual mate
Well I'll start by saying that the cruise control has always been a bit temperamental, when your on cruise it cuts out when it feels like it and sometimes it won't set. I've plugged my SnapOn Odus in...
Looking very nice Gav, it's certainly one of the tidiest I've ever seen! :)
No not at all, I've posted notes through people's doors before, if you don't ask then you'll never get!
I've seen that gul driving around Loughborough too, it looks a minter!
Yeah as V70 Graham states faster spool up as boost pipes are shortened, and also cooler intake temperature
Cheers V70 Graham I will give him a call tomorrow and see what he can do!
Well thanks for that guys that's made my mind up already :D
V70 Graham did you notice any difference in performance or turbo spool up?
I'm looking into buying a RIP kit for my '99 ME7 C70
Has anyone had any experience with the do88 ones that are available on eBay?
Or can anyone suggest any others that are of the same quality?...
Ok stribo nice one ill see how it goes with the clips but if it keeps falling off like M-R-P suggests then ill have to order some 4mm.
Right guys, I went to change the TCV today and realised that the vac pipes are all quite badly perished, pretty sure there not bad enough to cause any leaks but they need changing none the less. Now...
Ok thanks that's a great help, I shall do the swap tomorrow and see how things go :)
So how do I avoid any overboost then, is it just a matter of taking it easy until it re-learns itself?
Well I've bit the bullet and decided to change the TCV anyway, as looking at it i'd imagine it's the original one, and the cars got 104k on it so definitely due a change. I disconnected the battery...
I can guarantee you it won't be mapped Gav, they are surprisingly quick for such a big a car, pull like a train all the way from standstill
If you ever need any advice or info don't hesitate to give me a shout mate as I work for a Merc main dealer and have done for the past 9 years since I left school. My previous car was an E320cdi s210...
No it's just when coming off full boost, mounts are all mint but it must be an electrical issue for it to clear when the ignition is cycled off and on again?
Hi guys, my 99 C70 ME7 has started to give a strange kick/jolt when it's coming off boost, mainly when changing gear, it's like the cars trying to jump forward. Theres no fault codes or lights on,...
Ok thanks, is it just a matter of it being blocked then do you think? And it's just simply replacing the majority of the system to cure it? Maybe a stupid question but what would suddenly cause it to...
Hi folks, during the usual drive home from work this evening, pulled up to a set of lights and after sitting for a few seconds a good whiff of blue smoke gets blown over the car (enough for the guy...
