Yeah, give it a good wash out with boiling water/washing up liquid - perfect time/excuse to do a rad flush whilst your at it (you'll need to drain enough at least to empty the header tank, else spill...

gotta concur - 4mm hex did the job for me. Kicked myself, as I kept putting the job off cos I coudn't find the recommended torx socket for ages.

Still a good price though- it's one of those tools...

If your at all handy with the old spanner set, I'd say save your beans and DIY. It's really not that hard a job to do - can be a bit fiddely with...

Had the same problem myself and had to change out the Rad, as per T5 Stealth. Not the worst job in the world to do - the Hanyes manual describes the procedure pretty well.

yup, I had exactly the same issue with my N reg 854 T5.

I replaced the radiator (about £120 through Rufe via the forums iirc) and it's been fine ever since.

The Oil cooler is on the left hand...

If you've done the PCV, it could possibly be the inlet manifold hasn't seated itself properly when you've put it back. Did you use a new gasket?

If my knowledge is correct, it might also manifest...

Just got home and checked the codes on the springs - They're for the Saloon model afterall and not the Estate version!

I can only suggest that you check all your Vac lines - leaks can do all sorts of weird and wonderful things to the throttle/revs...

Have a set of H&R lowering springs (35mm) from a 855R and just wanted to know for certain that they're gonna fit my 854T5.

In terms of pads, I've found EBC pads to be pretty good. I preferred the 'Green Stuff' ones (fast road), but apparently they don't make them for the 850 T5 any more :(
