You renew the box and all the hoses. The PTC valve is on the pipe that runs from the maf to the turbo. It's close to the turbo end with two pipes coming out of it, one large and one small diameter....
The pcv is the box and all the pipes attached to it. When doing this you also need to make sure the PTC valve is clear as well. When the car is running take the dipstick out and if you have smoke...
Check the pipe that runs from the pcv on to inlet manifold (left hand side by the power steering pump). The elbow usually goes and throws up that fault code. If the pcv system need doing I would wait...
I have run R spec on all mine, I have one for sale that's two weeks old if you're interested pm me.
Yeah that's how I felt, replaced everything to get rid of the problem. How I didn't set fire to it was an example of supreme self control..
Could be your maf failing. Mine did this after I fitted a brand new pattern part. Lasted 50 miles then boost kept holding back on full throttle and spluttering. Got a bosch one and problem solved....
Mine did this for ages was fine when cold but then would idle at 1100-1200 rpm when warm. Turned out to be a vacum leak on the elbow on the inlet manifold had broken. Very common problem you can but...
Check both front drop links I had the same problem on mine o/s was ££££ed but the clonking was coming from the nearside.
Does the ecu reset itself when the fault is fixed? I had 232 code and found a broken elbow on the vac pipe going to the manifold. Replaced all the vac pipes and entire pcv system but mil is still...
It's got the obd11 socket and I have built the code reader, just wondered if you can reset the lights with it?
Is there any way of resetting the fault codes other than taking it to dealer etc. I disconnected the battery overnight but the mil light is still on?
Thanks
Lining is light coloured in those, well the two I have are anyway.
Sorry that's a bit late thought there was only one page. Doh!!!!
Jet wash them and let them dry thoroughly they will come up fine.
Thanks Tomcat I thought they were, just didn't want to drill them out if they were reusable.
Anyone know how to remove the black plastic clips without breaking them, as I need to remove the bumper for repair?
Hi guys, just picked up an 850 r in grey but the Volvans have been painted by Stevie Wonder in some sort of turd blue/grey!!! Not sure what colour to do them was thinking black instead of...
Thanks for all the replies, found out what the problem was. The actuator rod had come off the turbo so it was doing nothing!! Two hours, lots of swearing and one broken bolt it's all sorted.
Drives fine just no boost and feels like I am towing a house behind me it's so slow!!!!
According to my last test, Fast idle co is max 0.20 and natural idle is 0.30.
Hi guys, Driving along motorway today and all is well until I came off the slip road and stopped. Pulled away from a junction and had no boost at all. The guage is not moving in to the white section...
Denso Iridium plugs in mine, a bit pricey but last ages and found I could run higher boost with these in.
Just as i decided to put my T5 up for sale the car has taken revenge!!! On the way home this morning the Engine Management Light came and now the car is idling at 12-1300 rpm instead of its normal...
Yeah I would agree with you about the plate. I don't want to split the plate up from the car just sell it as a whole, so I am just trying to get a feel for a fair price on it.
Wot ya talkin abat?? Wanna is a proper word!!!!!
