Before you put the turbo back together it would be interesting to weigh each of the components, i've got some very very accurate scales at work I can do it on if you're interested.
If you're binning it all can I acquire the two hoses from the compressor please? Don't need the actual hose, it can be cut off just after the metal sections on the compressor :)
Thanks
Dave,
I run the TTV flywheel with an S60R clutch on an M66 gearbox, not had any issues. There is a noticeable rattle in the box at idle, and you can sometimes here a bit of back lash when you're at...
The only way you'd be able to use any sort of uprated oil pump would be to go with a dry sump setup i'd have thought?
If you want a lighter crank go for the later crank, IIRC it's 3.7kg lighter,...
You could do a leak down test, make an adapter up to screw into a spark plug hole and connect to an airline, then blow some air in slowly and see if you can hear where it's leaking, I did this with...
Wheres the turbine wheel from? does it come with the shaft?

There's a company local to me that does it, i'm going to see them hopefully at some point next week to look at getting some parts dipped.

Hmm think I might get the originals carbon dipped instead. Thanks guys.
Don't post that, it's embarrassing :(
Most of it was my error, never having been on a 1/4 mile before didn't realise quite how little traction there would be, only did two runs, this was the...

You all have a PM.
You didn't say it's only 100bhp/litre if they rev to 8k.
Sorry but thats absolute rubbish.
There are plenty of engines out there, some even production engines that do more than that power per litre without regularly going pop.
Eg. Mitsibushi Evo VIII...
Pretty well, although i'm still working on the setup. It's got double wishbones at the front, and a De Dion rear axle, which is a sort of semi independent suspension.
The main issue i've had...
On a rather brisk drive last year from Santa Pod to Silverstone with a load of Vipers, I didn't have too much trouble keeping up, and that was only with 300bhp ;)

I'm going to try a billet wheel in the 19T, if I get bored with that i'll just have to get a GT3071, there is someone who's selling one at the moment and it's pretty tempting! need someone to buy my...
Car weighs in at 1200kg.
If I really wanted to I could make it lighter and loose the zircon, stereo install, electric seats etc... but i'd rather just give it more power and keep the creature...
