I've been looking at them and been quite tempted by the price but when cars are cheap there's usually a reason. Do they have any reliability issues? I'm not bothered about performance at the moment,...
Which one is it? Whats the part number? I have a couple of different working ones.
Correct. Scarborough. Probably the wrong end of the country but the offers there if a better solution can't be found.
Well I can provide the box but that's it. Would need someone with right tools to come and remove it.
So my W reg s70 t5 me7 wouldnt be any help then? I'm breaking it over next couple of weeks and the gear box will only be going to scrappers as I don't have the equipment to remove it.
Which models have the m56?
Was this for the magneti marelli one.
£304. Scrap yard it is then lol.
So Pillings in Welwyn Garden City should quote around £163.20? and Cambridge sounds like they might be cheap too. Also Cookie mentions to get price off 'rufe.' Am I right in thinking Rufe is a member...
I rang my local main dealer the other day to get a price on a new etm, and got quoted £350 just for the part. Has anyone else recently bought the part and fitted themselves and got the dealer to just...
I agree with phil. Locking wheel bolts are a total waste of time and more hassle than they're worth. I've always used the method of hammering on a slightly smaller socket, with a good success rate.
Is this expensive? Is it possible to do this yourself?
Hi sorry to jump in on your thread but what is the cure for a dodgy etm anyone?
Ok well I waited til it was nice and quiet (no cars driving past) and I can hear the fuel pump and it's relay both working when I turn ignition on. So I don't think it's either of them.
Thanks for...
Thanks for advice. How do I get to throttle plate. Do I have to take manifold off? Also I can't remember seeing an ICV like on my old pre me7. Where would this be on mine?
Also I always fill up as...
That's the first thing I will be doing when I finish work. How much are they to replace? I remember my mate had a Saab and a new relay was something like £80.
Thanks I do hope it is that....
Thanks mate, your ideas are much appreciated.
How did you unstick it? Just pull the rod? Suppose its worth trying.
Yes EM light was on anyway for front o2 sensor so I can't tell if there is a fresh fault stored or not. Was just hoping this might be a common problem with an easy fix lol. Thanks for your input....
The noise happens when it is not running. Is that normal?
Any suggestions anyone?
Yesterday the car ran faultlessly. This morning it started then cut out after a few seconds and this keeps happening. It is the me7 engine. I have put fuel in, checked fuel pump fuse, tried...
Also I think fords have wheel nuts not bolts, which in it's self doesn't matter, but just check the shank. If it is different then it may be easier to get the bolt holes machined at the same time as...
Take them to an engineering firm and get them to mill the centre out to 65.1.... Shouldn't cost any more than £20. You also need to check the offset is ok too.
