Excellent stuff. What ball park figures are you looking at now it is mapped? I enjoyed reading Martin's project thread with the HE221W turbo. He seems like a real enthusiast.

Colin did you see you are mentioned again in this month's PPC mag?
I hope you didn't pay top dollar for it. Fingers crossed you get it sorted mate. I have been in the same position and been burned and it isn't a nice feeling. Now that I'm older and wiser I have...
I hope that boost reading is wrong as it is at least 14psi too high.
255g/s is enough air for approx 320bhp. I would be checking for boost leaks first.
Hi, A double pump on the brakes to work when driving can be a partially seized piston binding then releasing.
You may need a new engine if the knockoff injectors fail or don't flow to what they are rated. VXR injectors are dirt cheap nowadays and will flow more than enough, a far better option IMO. I'm not...
Lovely car and a great bargain. Those Pesky MAF codes can be a pain to work out and glad you got it sorted. I wish I had a Shem on my doorstep grrr
Very good progress Kerry and a relief not have any leaks or niggles. I love the way your car sits on the coilovers and want mine to look like that but I do like the comfy factory ride as well!...
A set of hose clip pliers is about a fiver from Machine Mart. You may as well use the clips provided for peace of mind.
Great work mate. I can't wait to see the finished product.
I used these guys after recommendation from a fellow petrolhead at work. I sent them a tiny piece of leather I snipped from the inside rear pocket of the seat and they did a perfect colour match. I...
Sounds like it could be an ignition fault with the hesitation and back firing.
Hi Soulboy,
Have you got a spare TCV to try on the car?
Also check the wastegate hasn't stuck slightly open.
That goes pretty well! Must have an HLM remap.
In my own experience and from what I've read online Kinugawa are excellent quality. I would buy another in a heartbeat if I were to go down the tuning route again.
I have used a Holset as well...
You need a chopped manifold or an adaptor plate for an 18T and a modded downpipe flange.
A 2.0 will be fine at 250bhp. It is actually a better option as the phase 1 will be at the limit of stock injectors at 250bhp. You will need a remap, exhaust and and maybe a better intercooler. At a...
Hi, as above, I'm 99.9% sure your thermostat is sticking open. It should run half way or just above in normal running. Your thermostat will be staying open which is allowing the car to over cool. I...
Looks like a bargain haha. What a plank.
Congrats mate. T4's are excellent fun. One of the most underrated cars ever made imo.
Finally got a pic! I haven't even had a chance to begin working on the car to fix the imperfections. I can't wait to get started on it but I have a house to decorate first!!

I used a Kinugawa big 16G turbo and actuator on my T4 and Mo used a 19T on his Saab. Not a bad word to say really. The turbos kits are of excellent quality including all the lines and banjos etc....
Great cars and handle very well as well as being very quick. The blocks are based on the 5 cylinder versions with 1 cylinder removed.
Phase 1 has the stronger block due to being a 1.9 but the 2.0...
