  1. Not got one

Salvo have not got one; any other suggestions?
  2. Recommendations for breakers

The ABS / DSTC module has been diagnosed as faulty. Does anyone have any recommendations for breakers where I might be able to source one second-hand?

    Mobile fitting

I has some fitted to my car when it was new by Volvo. They are really helpful, especially in tight parallel parking spaces. Fitting prices vary wildly depending upon how professional a job you want....
  5. its something like this.....

The fault code indicates these is a communication problem between the ABS control module and the ECM(?). So the fault could be the ABS module, the cabling or the ECM.

    Replacing the ABS module with...
  6. Thanks for the offer

Apparently after about 02/52 all DSTC finctionality was software driven. Earlier cars used the type of mdule as on my car. So is has to be a 2002 my car or earlier.

  7. I think its a different part number

I think they changed the design of the control module, but I will check.

  8. TRACS/ABS: - Anyone want a free car valet and a £60 voucher for car accessories?

There is a catch: your car has to be a 2000/1 model year V70 with DSTC and I need something from you.

My car (with a DSTC/ABS problem) is currently at Johnson's Volvo in Redditch. The Service...

Does anyone want a free car valet?

You are quite right. The car is currently at Johnson's in Redditch. The Service Manager says that if we put my module on your car and it was faulty, then your car would then have the fault codes in...
  10. Running Phase 2 V70 to high mileages / Second hand values

What experiences do you chaps have of running the latest shape V70 T5 to high mileages? Do they live up to Volvo's reputation for reliability and low running costs.

Mine has dumped a few big...

Or save yourself some money and get some Osram or Philips

The PIAA bulbs are very expensive and did not come out very will in the AutoEXPRESS bulbs tests. I would advocate Osram Silver Star or Philips Vision Plus.

I can supply these for 10% off retail...

    Is that necessary

I don't know if you will need to do so, or if its just a straight swap. Can anyone comment?

Do you know how much work is involved?

Thanks for your offer of help. If I get my unit off the car and over to you, do you know how much work is involved in trying my unit on your car? I understand that it is about a 45 minute job for the...

    I've got one

I have a boot floor - taken out of my car when new when the dealer fit rear seats were installed. So it is effectively brand new. Beige carpet colour.

I don't have the actual code, but I'll see if I can get it.

Another bit of information that may or not provide a clue. The problem first manifested itself the morning after is was returned by the...

    Communication failure

The fault is supposedly that there is a communication failure between the DSTC module and the ECM. No-one seems to be able to understand what that actually means.

    I've had this problem

I found slamming the door a few times often solved the problem. If you leave the car for a while the deadlocks seem to kick in and the door will then actually be locked despite the pin still being...

OK. I'll get the unit taken off the car.

That may work. I have an office in Newcastle that I travel to regularly. So I could drop the unit off on the way up and collect it on the way back down.

Why do you think WOBBLY DAVE may be able...
