Exactly, and I was sad as my p2V70 was written off by the next owner, so I hoped to see her on this thread.
At last I got the clips for the PCV kit not as easy as you think Volvo has made a mess of the numbers.
Here's some info for reference.
This is the elbow from oil trap to block there are two different sizes it's done by engine number now , but both clip numbers are not listed.

The Tube assembly the end clips are both the came size.tube to oil trap in photo.

The pipe from cam cover to oil trap both clips are the same size.

It's getting a run out to get some work done tomorrow, cam belt kit ,pcv kit ,new water tank ,oil & filter change, and one more not so small job..
Harvey,
Would you be able to collect all part numbers for the PCV kit and list them here?
I have the oil catch tank and the small chrome piece (left from the coolant cup) and need to sort out the rest for my 2004 VR.
My PCV system is still fine ( according to the glove test+ no smoke comes out from the dipstick tube) but want to complete this as preventative maintenance.
Thanks in advance!
i'll save you the Trouble Harvey :remybussi
Mine is a 2004 VR and the parts you need are as follows:
947282 Gasket x4 (copper hollow screw seals)
9458534 Gasket inlet manifold x1
8636573 Gasket (ETM) x1
8692211 Oil trap PCV
1271653 Crankcase > oil trap, breather hose x1
***180 Hose clamp x 2 (sorry, only partial number)
8692217 Hose rocker cover > PCV oil trap x1
976561 Hose clamp x2
30650578 Tube PCV coolant/breather pipe x1
31325709 Hollow screw x2 (Please read my thread on the PCV change regarding these screws!!!)
There may be 1 or 2 more hose clips required but I chose to use quality jubilee clamps as it was much easier to fit than trying to struggle with C-clips.
I also, decided to replace my thermostat assy as it is very easy with the inlet manifold off due to very difficult access to one of the bolts:
31293700 Thermostat assy (includes thermostat and temperature sensor) x1
8636753 Thermostat assy gasket x1
As you will be removing the injector rail, its vital that you replace the 'O' rings:
30731375 x5
9437650 Antifreeze x3 (litres)
The difference is the size of the elbow from the oil trap to block on mine the tube on the block is bigger I think that's the main difference. But have numbers on the photos above with clip numbers.
Cheers Lee for the numbers.
Thanks Lee! Appreciate the help! I'll read your thread.
Thanks Harvey!
The not so small job was shim the block & came across the exhaust manifold was blowing on 4 of the ports. Big thanks to Tim Williams for doing it for me.

My next car... Keep up the good work and maintenance Harvey :)
Was looking good yesterday Harvey. :B_thumb:
Looked average ;)
When the engine was getting looked at couple of weeks back , had a comment that the gas spring was weak that holds up the bonnet up.
The 2006 on cars only have one fitted to the left hand hinge , I just ordered one from Volvo as that's just easy to do but they know how to charge for it...!

Please note this spring is ONLY for cars with one fitted ..
Ps it's worth a Google to see what you could pay for one around £24 ..
