Car is in for her Pre-Trax check over .... overwise known as an MOT, getting a little nervous now as I don't really like the car beening away from home especially over night, I've just had a sprott on direct-gov https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-status and getting a little worried as nothing is showing yet....I'll have to give them a call........Cr#p
p.s. more pics shortly
A little work in progress, still not sure about it, the frame looks to small imho and requires finishing with a better badge and slash with a motorsport 'R' in the n/s bottom corner

Some great work there, as you say all shiny and clean now.
Thanks Graham but it's about 200,000 miles away from being as nice and shiney as yours. "Cleaner !!!" I think would be the right word, but if any of you know my high miler, this is really the first season that I've started tidying her up, as before I would only bother do little bits if there was a 1/4 mile gain to be had and now it's, while stuff is off, I'll try and tidy a bit more and improve the general appearance of her step by step, pics like this do help encourage me, but do wonder how long it will be till I become a bit ocd about her

thanks mate, I'm trying to bring her up to scratch, but as you'll see this weekend, the canvas I'm starting with isn't the best and I'll let you in on a new shiney bit I'm hoping to finish for Trax if I can remember how to set up the works tig welder properly for ally welding

How did u do ur wiring for the bigger throttle body..i understand that the present one is short.
Sorry for the delayed reply, but it's been a hectic few days. The wiring on mine was tight so, I dis-assembled the throttle body and rebuilt it with the spindle rotated 180degs to what it was before, then rotate the throttle position sensor mounting plate 180degs and hopefully the wiring will now reach ok, if not look down below as there is a bolted on wiring clip, if this is unbolted or repositioned, the harness plug should reach easily, hope this help mate.
Good thread here mate cars looks really good :)
