Got to do the exhaust manifold gasket on my 855 T5-R gasket soon, so I was wondering which exhaust manifold would be the best to fit?, while I'm about it and what benefits will it give me??

I would go forr the japanifold off the me7 port it to gasket size and knife edge the fins (turbo side)
It will flow better.
Chad got an s60r for sale
Even better
I have an S60R manifold you might like too?
I would prefer the Jap manifold. It's a better design. Want to know more ?
Clue : Try matching the engine's firing sequence.
Has anybody every put these on a flow bench and seen what they can do ?, is there a volvo dave vizard out there with all the data in one book ?? I can see what glock19 means about port sharing and this is why I asked the question, both manifolds look to have advantages over each other has far as I can see, but it still is which is best ??
Is your car even mapped yet?
Yep he had an ecu off me, keep up franke boy :)
On each individual exhaust outlet, the gases are coming out in pulses, not a continuous flow of air (unlike the intake manifold). Give me some time and I'll calculate the amount of exhaust displacement when engine speed is 6000 rpm from a single port. But I hope we don't need to get to that :D
So even with slightly bigger and smoother angles, the R manifold might not be superior to the Jap unit. For the ME7 models, lets not forget that the exhaust CVVT is also designed to reduce gas emission and I won't be surprised if the newer manifold was meant to be greener.
Ok I'll let a big cat out of the bag since I'm no longer interested in the R-Manifold. It's the same unit with the XC90-2.5T so maybe you can get it cheaper from the wreckers. I knew about this 3 years ago.
