As title really,
sounds like a 4x4 on mud tyres. Not majorly loud, but enough to notice and worry about.
Is this a common problem? 115k miles on a p2 V70 T5. Think it's fronts.
Any pointers as to where to get replacements?
Cheers guys

PFV or FRF mate.
Try to avoid cheap crap.
Buy cheap pay twice.
Got mine for the S60 from PFV
I'd put money on it.
The fun bit is going to be diagnosing which one, when I had one go on the C70 there was no movement in the wheel, and it would sound worse when going around a right turn, so I naturally thought it was the left one............wrong. Still, at least it's got new bearings on both front wheels now.
could it be a out of shape tyre?
In most cases very hard to diagnose but a 'humming or droning' noise that gets louder at speed or when cornering is definitely a wheel bearing.
I wouldn't piss about mate. just replace both front wheel bearings and as said, don't buy cheap! I would fit genuine only on this occasion so speak to Rufe.
Cheers guys. I will lift the car at the weekend just to see if there is any movement of the wheels. Think it sounds like the front end, hard to tell. Oh well. More expense to add to the list!
