Hi All, the evaporator unit behind the dash has "gone" on our V70 T5 SE (1998)j. Can anyone here recommend someone who can change out and replace this. I know it's a pig of a job as the whole dash has to be taken out. Any suggestions/recommendations. I'm near to Stevenage/Bedford area.

My understanding is its not a hard job but is time intensive, about 10 hours work, so a normal decent garage shouldn't have any problems doing it.
Depends how you do it. If you go in from the glovebox side then the heater matrix is about 2 hours tops.
there is also the air-con chiller matrix higher up in the back of the dash, which is what the thread was started concerning, that would be a be more difficult to get to, I have removed one in the past, but I was breaking the car so did't have to be to careful, iirc once the dashtop was removed it was relatively easy to get outQuote:
