The new 450bhp triple turbo 2.0L 4-pot has been stuffed into a S60 mule recently. Hopefully, it'll make it to production :)
I've had a rant about the T8 before - I don't care about the performance or fuel economy, a T8 should be an 8-pot with a blower. End of.
Usually I'm against hybrids just on principle....dislike the fact that big car companies are asking us to pay for their R&D, even apart from considering the raw materials costs of the battery & drivetrain outweigh any supposed savings
but er yeah that is rather nice. I bet if you thrash it to 60 it doesn't produce only 59 g/km co2. A bit misleading to claim both in the same sentence.
Lovely isn't it.
I quite like what about the £?
Guess like new tech we do pay for the RND costs, but one would hope it'll get cheaper as time goes on.
... and who wouldn't want a test drive in a proper T8 (thinking Noble M600 here)
I like it, all apart from the front end... the grill is just too big.
I'm afraid to say I once would have hated it on principle too but I've come to accept hybrid tech is here to stay. Besides if they can make a "tank" go to 60 in less than 6 seconds I think its caught up enough to start to interest the enthusiasts.
That engine in a C30 if they still made them would be pretty epic!
I had a couple of hours in one (A good friend is pretty high-up in BMW, he had one for a weekend), amazing car
