A picture is worth a thousand words Jamesy. Thanks
What is a pirates favourite country?
Aaargentina
Thanks once again gents for the interesting responses, back to my original question, the correct length of either the pop rivets or the bolts needed, so then I can quickly work on each wheel station once.
You could measure the diameter of the holes on the lock stops and just get some bolts with nuts that fit?
Thanks jdavis, really great post, provides the relative information dimensions for the rivets -4x12.5mm.
I've now got that site on my speed dial.
AcidicDavey,
Yeah, thanks already measured the diameter, but as I said it was the length that was an unknown. I've now jacked up the offside to gain access to the lower suspension arm, the steering limiter is missing, I drifted out the remnants of the original pop rivets. Thus I was then able to gain a meaningful measurements.
I cannot believe that this was missed during MOT inspection back in April. Even more so, when one considers that the proprietor has been and one on the mechanics is a C70 owner.
I've elected to use M4x30mm A2 stainless steel bolts, washers and M4 serrated flanged loc-nuts, better application than alloy rivets.
Just received a DVD copy of the Volvo VADIS OEM factory workshop service and repair manual and it covers the C70 Coupe and Cabriolet 1998-2005 obtained from the states via ebay.com
looks good and didn't cost loads o dosh.
