Won't fit a p1, but a good budget brake upgrade on a p2, good write up.
Now for the rears!!

They certainly weigh a fair bit....the calipers are probably the same weight as the discs themselves - 11.4kg each

To complete the braking package, they are a bit light weight iirc mine are 15 or 16kg monsters 350 x 32 (or 34) I can't remember.
I'll most likely put 330 4 pot rears on mine but, I have 308mm Porsche 4 pots or 308mm xc90 rears (both vented) on custom hangers.
I think you may be able to bolt straight up xc90 vented 308mm, however I've only dealt with awd p2s and it's a straight fit so should be ok, £50 per side calipers and cost of discs, so cheap and a fair bit bigger.
If the s60r rear calipers are a straight fit on the fwd so should the xc90s
Btw xc90 rears are very good
That's the thing p2 are heavy especially r's
Bigger brakes is easier than a gym membership lol
No need to drill rears either.
Started looking already lol....I take it the S60 handbrake shoes can remain in situ, it's just the disc and pads along with the caliper that's changed?
Yep spot on

And as a bonus, you'll get extra R badges on your car. ;)
Sorry to resurrect this thread but just wondering if someone managed to install xc90 calipers for the rear. Are they a direct bolt-on ?
And I'll resurrect it again.
Could I do this mod on my 2004 C70 2.4T GT.
She already has the 305mm carriers and disk fitted instead of the standard 280mm.
cheers
Rear calipers from an XC90 will bolt straight onto the rear of the S60/V70 but they are only slightly bigger than the standard ones already fitted, that said...you would then have vented discs rather than solid. I wouldn't replace the original rear discs and pads for the sake of it & expect a huge gain in braking performance; but if they need replacing anywhoo it maybe worth considering.
I believe not.....The C70 will have 302mm carriers and discs - unfortunately the XC90 setup won't fit.
I recently bought some 336mm discs and calipers of a XC90 T6 to apply on my S60 T5, but I had a question. Will I be able to mount this set in 17 "Tethys?
